«©NCSX» When Napolean Dynamite doodled his version of the animal known as a "Liger," it looked like a sissy with its gentile face and effete haunches. Napolean defined the Liger as follows, "It's pretty much my favorite animal. It's like a lion and a tiger mixed... bred for its skills in magic."

   The Liger in Zoids is much more formidable and powerful than Napolean's pansy-assed rendition. Zoids Liger would probably shred Napolean Liger with one swipe of its left paw coupled with a bite to the neck. Due to the Zoids Liger's elite fighting skills, NCS is intent on importing the toy when it's released later this year.

   Zoids Liger is made of die-cast metal which makes it heavy and tough. The toy is posable so that its head may be twisted, its legs angled, and its torso shifted into dynamic poses. According to Yamato's product preorder sheet, the Liger has 24 movable parts and the whole toy is made up of 200 pieces that have been meticulously melded together. The canopy on the Liger may be opened to allow a toy pilot (included) to be inserted inside. The Liger measures 44cm or 17.32cm in length and is fully pre-painted and ready for play. «©NCSX» Tama-Soft released an adult digital novel called Lost Child in 2004. In the game, players take on the role of a hero named Shouji Tokitoh who has the ability to transform into an "Amito" or superhero known as Cerberus by shouting "Conception!" That and fusing with his catalyst who's a girl named Ai whose presence allows him to change from normal scientist-man to a sleek and powerful killing machine. Lost Child was a unique digital novel in that it featured a turn-based battle system filled with action-packed sequences where Cerberus swung, swooped, slashed, and shot.

   In 2008, Hobibox/Tama-Soft location-tested a Naomi-based fighting game titled Project Cerberus which was based on Lost Child. The game features a cast of 12 characters who appear in their human forms before each bout but transform into their Amito alter-egos once the match starts. Cerberus is a 2D fighting game which looks good and plays well enough but based on our time with the Naomi version, the mechanics of the game are cookie cutter. That's not necessarily a bad thing since cookie-cutter standards are market-friendly, brings in revenue, and doesn't take unwarranted risks. By-the-book and button-down managers love that stuff. Project Cerberus gets ported over to the PSP this week in Japan.

PSP Monster Hunter Nikki Poka Poka Airu Mura - New, In Stock

«©NCSX» With Capcom's Monster Hunter as popular as it is, perhaps it's surprising that a spin-off hasn't shipped to market earlier. The Airu (cats) of the Monster Hunter games are the stars in the newly released Monster Hunter Nikki Poka Pika Airu Mura PSP action-adventure which is centered around Airu Village. The versatile cats live their lives in the village where farming, hunting, mining, and cooking are daily routines. Since Airu Village is situated on an island, the bodies of water surrounding the village are ripe with fish to be fetched out of the drink. The Pugi creatures from the Monster Hunter canon also appear in the game to provide companionship and interaction.

   In the Airu Guild, adventurers may curry assignments for earnings and every contribution by the feline residents leads to expansion of the village. Guild quests can be either exploration jaunts or collection exercises where the party of Airu work towards enhancing the village. When exploring, monsters are inevitably encountered and the group of Airu attack as one cohesive unit to deal as much damage as possible within a short amount of time. Airu Village supports multi-player gaming where up to three gamers can cooperate on Guild quests. Players who have the PSP version of Monster Hunter 2nd G can convert save-data from the game for use in Airu Village. As a bit of bonus content, Hello Kitty appears in the village in the form of costumes that may be worn by the Airu. The first production of the game includes a special code which gives gamers the chance to enter a drawing to win a special Airu or Hello Kitty plush toy or a phone strap.

In addition to the default one-on-one fisticuffs, a four-player option is also available so that four combatants can engage in a battle royale as long as four Nunchuk-and-Remotes are available.. Kotobukiya is producing a a Roll model kit which is posable once fully assembled and free standing. Roll wears her default red uniform with a green bow atop her blonde hair so that she looks like a haus frau even though she's only a tweenager. Roll may also be decked out in the red and blue outfit that she wore in Rockman 8. «©NCSX» Back in 1993, Game Arts released Silpheed on the Mega-CD and updated the PC-8801 game with clunky polygon graphics that were not impressive. In the game, a ship called the Silpheed SA-77 swooped through the heavens and blasted at enemy airships as they flitted into the screen like Galaxians. Fast forward nearly two decades and the Silpheed SA-77 is back in action in the form of a model kit which requires assembly and a steady hand to put together.

   The Silpheed SA-77 measures 26cm or 10.23" in length and all of the parts in the kit are white/grey to reflect the original colors of the Lancer in the Mega-CD game so paint isn't necessary. Preorders ship in Oct 2010.

   The heroine of the animation is named Eris and she's a cat girl with big boobs. By cat girl, we mean that she's genetically a cat girl and not one of the fake cat girls who wander around the Comic-Con venue. Eris is also an alien who has landed on Earth and gets hooked up with a teenage boy named Kakazu Kio. The only unusual feature about the figure is the awkward positioning of her legs which are sprawled and hiked up in the air. TOYS Revoltech #097 Lupin the Third Figure - Preorder

«©NCSX» Arsene Lupin is a master thief who's highly skilled, good with a gun, and would probably outsmart Danny Ocean if another sequel to Ocean's Eleven got the greenlight. Despite being somewhat goofy, Lupin has the wherewithal to get what he wants and he does it with panache and style.

   Lupin gets his proper respects from Kaiyodo in the form of a Revoltech toy figure which ships in a few months. The Lupin Revoltech contains 13 joints which allow for remarkable poses including a wiry kneeling posture and another one where Lupin has apparently dislocated his neck. Props included with the Lupin figure include a table that looks like the same one that was included with the Professor Layton Revoltech, a chair, a safe (to crack), three extra faces, nine extra hands, a wired hook to ride, a mounting stand, and five bullet marks to create scenes where Lupin is being shot at.
