TOYS Movie Masterpiece Thor: Odin Figure - Preorder
NCS Preorder Synopsis
«©NCSX» Norse mythology tells of how Odin traveled to Mimir's Well under the guise of a vagabond named Vegtam the Wanderer. Odin wanted to drink from the Well but was forced to sacrifice an eye to do so. Upon drinking from the well, Odin gained knowledge of all things and of what would come to pass. After Odin drank, Mimir placed Odin's eye in the depths of the well as a testament of his sacrifice for wisdom.
Odin's the inspiration for the second Movie Masterpiece figure based on the upcoming Thor theatrical film. The god of gods is depicted as an old man who looks like British actor Anthony Hopkins (who plays Odin in the movie) and wears an eyepatch over his right eye. The articulated figure is garbed in "armor" and measures 30cm tall. A red cape is draped behind the figure so that he looks dashing. Old-man-dashing, but dashing nonetheless. Accessories include a lance, helmet, and five extra hands. Preorders for the Masterpiece Odin figure are welcome to ship in August 2011 at JPY22000 or US$299.90 from NCS.

NEWS General Updates
Japan Update Employees at our distribution companies are starting to leave Tokyo. The decisions were made abruptly last night and it's unclear how long they'll be gone. This means there'll be little to no trade until conditions return to some semblance of normalcy and/or relative safety. The news that continues to pour out of Japan is unsettling with nearly 500,000 people uprooted and dealing with shortages of food, water, and supplies. Based on what some of our contacts have relayed last night, electricity is also being turned off to prevent shortages. |
PS3 Ryu Ga Gotoku of The End - Delayed (Redux) There was a surge of preorders for RGG of the End last night but please note that Sega has pushed the release date of Ryu Ga Gotoku Of the End from this week to an unspecified date in the future. As mentioned yesterday, we'll post an update once a new ship date is confirmed. |
