The animated series featured in the game include Gundam Seed Destiny, Gun X Sword, Soukyuu no Fafner, Haja Taisei Dangaioh, Mazinger Z, Virtual On Marz, Overman King Gainer, Steel God Jeeg, and Shinkon Gattai Godannar. At the outset of the game, a battle is already in progress and players basically step into the action and take over the reins of a mech.

Amagami - New Import, Restock Soon

«©NCSX» The production staff behind the KimiKiss game from Enterbrain reunite for another interactive dating adventure where players take on the role of a male high school student. An incident in the past has turned the student's heart against Christmas but he decides that he'll own his antagonistic attitude and embrace all that is Christmas this year. With the big holiday rushing up, the protagonist resolves to find a girlfriend before the jingle bells start swinging. The student gets to communicate and perhaps find love with one of six classmates in his school. With the right mix of interaction, judicious choices, and virtual charm, he'll get to spend the Christmas holiday with one of the six students.

The covergirl is named Ayatsuji Tsukasa and she's a top notch potential girlfriend but there's also an aspiring baker named Sakurai Rihoko and a willowy gal named Tanamachi Kaoru. Amagami is an interactive adventure that's heavy on the reading and watching but light on the actual user input. At certain junctures in the game, players are prompted to make choices that affect or alter the pathway of the narrative.

Some early preorders will ship with a bonus Drama CD which includes two voice episodes featuring the actresses in the game.

Brandish: The Dark Revenant - New Import, Restock Soon

«©NCSX» Back in 1991, Brandish was released on the Japanese PC followed by software conversions that ran on the PC-Engine and the Super Famicom. Fast forward 18 years and PSP gamers get to relive the adventures of an armor-clad warrior named Ares who's being pursued by an avenging blonde bombshell who answers to Dela Delon. As the story goes, Ares has slain Dela's master and she's out for his blood. During her quest for revenge, Ms Delon shoots fireballs, attacks Ares, and in a strange twist of fate, even rescues her mortal enemy at one point.

At the outset of PSP Brandish, Ares is dropped inside a dungeon which is populated by treasure chests, roaming creatures, gateways, and plaques that dot the walls. Before the proper game begins however, a short tutorial commences which gives players pointers on moving around, jumping, and attacking. The mandatory tutorial is a good way to start since the controls are unconventional. When moving around the dungeon, Ares always faces forward and sidles left and right like a crab when the d-pad is pushed in either direction. To change Ares' orientation, players will have to press the "L-Trigger" or the "R-Trigger" to rotate 90° counterclockwise or clockwise respectively. Pushing the "X" button makes Ares jump which is useful for leaping over pressure-sensitive plates that trigger doors or to avoid traps. Once the novelty of the controls has worn off, Brandish is basically a dungeon crawling game that offers basic RPG elements where the hero explores, finds treasure, and kills a bunch of monsters. An auto-map feature shows off the local area on an overhead map where Ares' exploration fills it out with every nook and cranny that he wanders into. «NCS Photos»

Dragonball Evolution - New Import, In Stock

«©NCSX» When NCS first heard about the live-action Dragonball movie in 2002, we knew that there would be a video game tie-in. Remember that Street Fighter film from back in the day which featured Jean-Claude as Guile and Raul Julia as M. Bison? Back then, Capcom released a game titled Street Fighter: Real Battle on Film that capitalized on the movie's hype. SF:RBOF wasn't very good but it got bids because of the Street Fighter branding. This time around, Bandai's game treatment of the Dragonball Evolution movie is decent with a bevy of modes, fast action, and snappy graphics.

In Story Mode, players follow the adventures of Goku as portrayed by Justin Chatwin as he endeavors to retrieve the nine Dragon Balls. The story starts at Grandpa Gohan's (played by Randall Duk Kim) house where the two engage in a round of fisticuffs. The controls are simple with the analog pad controlling movement while the face buttons pound out kicks (Δ), punches (Π), and power boosts (O). The (X) button throws up a block move. After soundly defeating Gohan, the story moves along coupled with a processions of fights against characters such as Bulma (Emmy Rossum), Mai (Eriko Tamura), and others. There's also a battle early in the game between Gohan and Piccolo (James Marsters) but even if you defeat Piccolo in the match, Gohan's house is still blown apart and Gohan himself is mortally wounded. From there, Goku vows vengeance and goes off on his adventure.

In addition to the Story Mode, players may also enjoy the Versus Mode, Mission Mode, and Arcade Mode . There's also a Gallery Mode but note that all of the data is locked when you first begin playing the game. «Photos»

Their bodies seem to glisten and ripple even when standing still. They're so strong and formidable that they don't need a spaceship when flitting around in outer space. Just a bikini brief will do, thank you very much.

NCS would describe Rei Cho Aniki as a shooter that's brimming with male homoerotic antics and devilish visuals that would put the blush on anyone. Almost anyone. The muscular he-men aren't the main characters in the game but serve more as side arms to the main hero Idaten or the heroine Benten. The little blue mascot seen on the upper left corner of the game cover is named Uminin. Upon starting a new game, players may choose either Idaten or Benten and then choose a sidearm. Idaten can select Adon or Samson while Benten gets to team up with a pair of cherubs that are way past their prime named Mika & Eru. The first stage is somewhat reminiscent of Gradius where enemies stream in from the right side of the screen and leave behind energy capsules when destroyed. Larger opponents appear and the end-level boss is a locomotive with arms and a face that's almost like Thomas the Tank Engine except he's surly and fires scattershot. The second end-level boss is a lackadaisical male bather, and the third boss is a muscle-bound pair of meatheads with basically double-team Idaten or Benten from both sides with waves of fast-moving buckshot.

Rei Cho Aniki was riginally released on the PC-Engine Super CD-ROM2 in 1992 under the name of Cho Aniki and the PSP remake features updated graphics, BGM, and a new song composed by Hayama Hiroharu. «Photos»

Early Weekly Famitsu Magazine We didn't expect this week's new issue of Famitsu Magazine (Vol. 1059) to arrive today but it's in stock and shipping to all subs this afternoon. They gave Space Invaders Extreme 2 a rating of (8/8/7/8) and the "Smash Girls" section on pages 208-209 features Miku Sano. We're not sure if Enterbrain has changed the weekly release date or if the early arrival is just a fluke but we've sent an inquiry to our newsprint supplier to check on what to expect each week. We'll post page scans and details on the new magazine tomorrow due to time constraints today.
