Evangelion Life-Size Figures

Preorders are welcome for three life-size Evangelion figures which are scheduled to ship in August 2007. The EVA-01 isn't really life-size since it only measures 2 meters or 78.74" but it's still pretty big. The price tag is similarly lofty at JPY1,032,000 or US$9500.00 from NCS.

Fans of Rei Ayanami and Asuka Langley get to own their life-size representations for slightly less coin than the EVA-01. Rei Ayanami is priced at JPY472,500 or US$4900 and measures 158cm or 62.20" tall. Asuka Langley is priced at JPY367,500 or US$4000 from NCS and measures 154cm or 60.62" tall. Both figures feature joints for the elbows, knees, and the neck so that the figures may be posed. Please note that NCS includes the Rei Ayanami display stand at our preorder price.

FFVII Sculpture Arts: Aerith Gainsborough Kit

Kotobukiya has opened up preorders for what appears to be a magnificent Aerith kit which depicts the beloved sacrificial heroine from Final Fantasy VII in stately repose... or perhaps she's practicing a form of prayer. Or maybe she's releasing White Materia and summoning Holy to stop an unstoppable force.

When built and assembled together, the Aerith sculpture measures 43cm or 16.92" in height and nearly that much in width. A sturdy stand is included for mounting the sculpture securely atop a mantle or table. Pricing is set at JPY26000 or US$265 from NCS. Pricing takes into account the air express carriage cost to import an item of this dimension into the USA from Japan. NCS recommends only shipping this item within the USA with UPS Ground to avoid incurring onerous shipping charges. Preorders are welcome to ship in mid-late October 2007.

Valkyrie Profile Sculpture Arts: Lenneth Valkyrie

Classic Norse mythology (or a bastardization thereof) re-entered popular culture in 1999 with the Japanese release of Valkyrie Profile on the Playstation. The game sold well and we figured that was that. Countless games come and go and die, never to be seen again. Fast forward nearly a decade later and Valkyrie Profile is still steeped in today's gaming culture with games and toys. Kotobukiya adds another toy to the Valkyrie Profile ranks which ships later this year.
