TOYS Seikon No Qwaser Cafe Ekaterina Kurae - Import Preorder

NCS Preorder Synopsis
«©NCSX» Hailing from the Seikon no Qwaser manga and animated series, the blonde copper-controlling moppet named Ekaterina Kurae (nickname: Katja) looks like someone who might sit comfortably with the girls of Death Smiles. Ms Kurae looks older than the DS lolitas but she makes up for her years with an outfit and overall appearance that's gothic enough to allow her passage into an exclusive club.

The Cafe Ekaterina Kurae figure from Evolution Toy is sculpted to no particular scale but she measures 17cm (6.69") tall and is articulated for posing purposes. Accessories and parts included with the figure include replacement hands, replacement faces, a replacement chest-piece, and a mounting stand. Preorders are welcome to ship in mid-late June 2010 at JPY8800 or US$93.90 from NCS.

EAT One Piece Spoon & Fork Set [Reissue] - Import Preorder

NCS Preorder Synopsis
«©NCSX» The Jolly Roger is an ominous symbol that's recognized by seamen and pirates who sail the high seas. The latter group is usually on the water with the sole intent of robbing folks of their loot. In modern land society, the skull and crossbones symbol isn't really found anywhere except on packs of vermin bait and bottles of poison. It is an oddity then that Cospa has announced new preorders for eating utensils which are topped by the Jolly Roger - a fork and a spoon that are accompanied by a symbol of poison. If NCS was to consult our feng-shui master for his advice, we're fairly certain he'd look at the utensils for about 3 seconds and then shake his head in disdain. Sharp objects, decay, and corpselike imagery are generally taboo in feng-shui.

With that in mind, NCS opens up preorders for the One Piece Spoon & Fork Set from Cospa which are made of stainless steel. Each utensil measures 17cm or 6.69" in length. Reservations are welcome to ship in mid-late May 2010 at JPY1200 or US$15.90 from NCS.

EAT Stitch Ice Cream Maker - Import Preorder

NCS Preorder Synopsis
«©NCSX» On a recent visit to Toys R' Us, one of the toys on the shelves was a flimsy-looking ice cream maker that was made of plastic. Two happy kids were on the cardboard box cover and they appeared to be having a blast making ice cream. It was comical, sad, and ludicrous at the same time.

Then we saw the Stitch Ice Cream Maker in one of this week's new preorder solicitations from overseas. We had to get one. Even if it would never be used to make ice cream, we had to have one. Sega's behind this particular ice cream contraption and if we're to believe the instructions, a can filled with ice cubes, some simple ingredients, and a liberal amount of hand cranking is all that's needed to make ice cream. The photo included in the preorder solicitation depicts ice cream that looks like it just came out of a professional dispenser. Preorders are welcome to ship in July 2010 at US$26.90 from NCS. Please note that it's almost a certainty that the quality of ice cream that's churned from the Stitch Ice Cream Maker will be bad.
