Zelda: Phantom Hourglass Sound Drops - New, In Stock

Have you ever stood in line at the local bodega and thought back to the times you've played Zelda on the Nintendo DS and replayed the sweet sounds from the game in your mind? If so, you're a party of one because no one else on the planet has ever done that. Ever.

Despite the lack of Zelda sound love in the minds of the populace, Bandai has decided to release a Sound Drop set based on the recent Zelda game. Sound effects and chimes sampled from the Zelda no Densetsu: Mugen no Sunadokei aka Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass game are stored on a computer chip where they may be replayed with a single button press. So, the next time you're at the local mart and aching to hear some shrill Zelda aurals, take a Sound Drop from your pocket and press the button to confound and possibly delight the other shoppers.

All preorders have shipped yesterday and new orders are welcome today at US$22 per complete set of six Sound Drops as shown in the photo.

Luminous Arc 2: Will - Preorder

Knights and witches are in focus once again when the sequel to Luminous Arc ships on May 15, 2008. Similar to the first game, players take control of a group of adventurers and battle other groups on isometric tactical arenas. A total of 38 episodic scenarios are featured in the adventure but 50 side missions are available for exploratory adjuncts. When a battle begins, players choose the heroes to use in the encounter and then move, attack, use items, ignite magic, and perform other maneuvers to defeat the opposition. To add to the atmosphere of the action, voice actors provide sayings and grunts that sound off in battle.

Bonus Schwag
The publisher Marvelous will give away two bonus items with the game in 30% ratio as follows: A Luminous Works 2nd art booklet and a Luminous Symphony Album which contains music composed by Yasunori Mitsuda.
Please note the 30% ratio means that we will only receive 1 bonus for every 3 copies of the game that we import. For example, if we preorder 300 copies of Luminous Arc 2: Will, we will only receive 90 bonuses which will be given away to the first 90 preorders.

Family Trainer - Preorder Import

Back in the summer of 1986, Bandai released a fitness game titled Family Trainer: Athletic World on the 8-bit Famicom which shipped with a flimsy mat controller. The idea was to get kids off the couch and in motion with simple mini-games that were played by stepping on the circular cues located on top of the mat. Sales were mediocre and Bandai eventually abandoned hopes of starting a video game fitness craze.

Fast forward two decades later and Bandai's at it again. Emboldened by the recent success of Nintendo's Wii Fit, the company revives Family Trainer for a new generation of gamers. Similar to the original incarnation, Bandai includes a flexible mat controller with the game which looks suspiciously like Konami's dancing pad. The mat is designed for use by one or two players who are able to step lively side by side. This means the entire brood can take turns engaging in gaming exercises which take place upon the mat controller. That's not all folks - the Wiimote is also used in some games for arm waving antics so the whole body gets a workout.

Bandai touts over 15 cooperative and competitive games in Family Trainer including one where players make like lumberjacks and leap over rolling logs by jumping on the mat. Yet another game has the player rafting downstream and another features a gnarly ride on a mine car. Preorders are welcome to ship on May 29, 2008 at JPY6800 or US$85.90 per bundle.

Jelly Belly Mini Mini Gashaspon Machine - Preorder Import

The Jelly Belly Candy Co. sells tons upon tons of flavorful jelly bean candies every year. They've even penetrated the fickle Japanese market where the candy fans there have taken a shine to the gourmet brand. As we've learned in our working relationship with Japanese companies, everything that's pop or cult eventually gets immortalized in miniature form and the Jelly Belly brand gets its turn this summer.

Yujin has started preorders for miniature candy dispensers which eject mini replica jellybeans from a little canister with the twist of a knob. Five candy dispensers are featured in the set which are each packaged with six different flavors of jellybeans from Jelly Belly's line-up of 50 official jellybeans and the occasional special flavors. Preorders are welcome to ship in mid-late June at US$22 for the complete set of five dispensers.

Yattaman Furifuri Mascot Keychain - Preorder Import

The Yattaman animated series originally aired in Japan between 1977-1979 and the show garnered a legion of loyal fans. In the ensuing decades, Yattaman merchandise has trickled out from time to time but the once powerful draw of the franchise has faded into relative obscurity.

That all changes in 2008 with a new Yattaman series that started airing on Fuji TV in January. The reception has been positive and an NDS Yattaman game was recently announced along with the first sightingw of toys and merchandise based on the series. Today, NCS brings you the Yattaman FuriFuri Mascot Keychains which feature Gan-chan, Ai-chan, and a motley assortment of co-stars. A total of eight keychains are being sold and we'll gather them up and sell the keychains in complete sets at US$22.00. Preorders are welcome to ship in mid-late June 2008.
