«©NCSX» R2-D2 is accustomed to being pimped out in the name of merchandising and it was with amusement that we glanced at Heart Art Collection's new R2-D2 Desktop Trash Can. The company has already released a full-sized R2-D2 trash bin but this new one's a smaller and more compact model that's suitable for a desk, a shelf, or maybe the top of the computer. R2-D2 measures W167 × H250 × D130mm (W6.57 x 9.84 x 5.11") and is constructed of ABS. The capacity of the holding container is roughly a liter and R2-D2 weighs 464g or roughly a pound. A little foot pedal located on the lower-front of R2-D2 may be depressed to pop R2's lid but sadly, the pedal can't trigger the top to close again. You'll need to shut Artoo's dome by hand. Heart Art's original promotional flyer showed R2 being used as a planter but we think that's a poor use for the can. Preorders are shipping today and new orders are welcome at JPY3800 or US$49.90 from NCS.

Dice Dice Fantasia is a board game where up to four protagonists ride on vehicles across a play board that's made up of colored tiles. The protagonist gather together a little party which may include a warrior, mage, archer, and knight. The party battles monsters on the player's behalf in card-based attack and strategy episodes. In additional to the main Story Mode of the game, Broccoli also includes a Free Play Mode and an ad-hoc Communication Mode where four PSP players join in on the board game action.

«©NCSX» Take control of a Gundam mech on the side of the Earth Federation and take on Zaku warriors in a first-person action game where energy blades are swung and guns are fired off in rapid succession. If you're feeling rebellious, you can also choose the side of the Zeon and face off against the forces of the E.F.F. The action runs fairly fast and both the nunchuk and Wii Remote are used to control the Gundam and push into battlefields and duel one-on-one against foes. In addition to melee attacks and gunfire, a sniper mode is available where a targeting scope allows players to focus in on the head of an enemy mech and blow it off to disable it entirely. There are times when two energy blades meet and they'll sizzle as each swinger tries to gain the upper hand in the sword face-off. When running and gunning, the Wii Remote controls a targeting cursor which may be positioned inside a center reticule to hit enemy soldiers dead-on.

The game features an original story written especially for the game which follows the events of the 0079 storyline. A VERSUS Mode splits the screen horizontally so that each player experiences the game from his own perspective. Players can change the colors of the Gundam from a palette so it's possible to roll with a bright purple or hot pink Gundam.
