TOYS Metroid Prime 2 Echoes: Gunship Statue - Preorder

From the Manufacturer
First 4 Figures is proud to present a new collection of models based on the different gunships in the Metroid universe. The first ship in the line up is Samus Aran's gunship based on the version seen in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. Samus Aran's gunship plays an important role in the Metroid games, serving as a save point and a destination for many of the self destruct sequences. Her gunship in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes closely resembles the ship from the Metroid II and Super Metroid. The gunship is custom built for Samus on Aliehs III.

The model has been painstakingly recreated from original game files to bring about the most accurate representation of Samus Aran's gunship from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. There are over 50 LED lights throughout the model. On the actual gunship, the windscreen and the four engines at the back all light up. When you turn off the lights, the LEDs very slowly turn off with a fading light effect. On the base, there are LEDs that create a circle light movement. The point where the ship connects to the base has a swivel joint which lets you tilt and angle the ship to any angle that you want. Comes with a screwdriver to secure desired position. Please note, you cannot rotate the model on the joint or you will damage the internal wires. The LEDs are guaranteed to last for a minimum of 17 days of continuous use.

Comes in deluxe full color packaging, hand numbered base, and includes a Certificate of Authenticity which allows you to purchase the same number of the model next in the Gunship series. Limited to 750 pieces worldwide.

TOYS Marvel X Bishoujo Collection: Psylocke Statue - Preorder

From the Manufacturer
A Kotobukiya Japanese import! Following hot on the heels of the first three Marvel Comics Bishoujo Collection Statues (Rogue, Black Widow, and Scarlet Witch) comes the mysterious and beautiful telepathic ninja mutant Psylocke!

Once a British woman with minor mutant powers, Elizabeth “Betsy” Braddock’s mind was transferred into the body of a ninja giving her additional martial arts prowess. A long-time member of the X-Men, Psylocke now stars in her very own comic book series. Here, the mutant heroine is presented for the first time in the Japanese Bishoujo (pretty girl) style based on original character art by illustrator Shunya Yamashita.

Psylocke is a warrior woman to the core, striking a deadly pose with twin Japanese swords at the ready. The alluring curves of her body are accentuated by her skimpy, skin-tight costume that leaves little to the imagination and the high heeled boots that draw attention to her shapely legs. As Psylocke twists to face her foes her long hair fans out behind her, surrounding her beautiful Bishoujo-styled facial sculpt. The sexy mutant’s bright blue costume and purple hair nicely offset her pale skin.

Standing approximately 9 inches tall (in 1/8 scale with the other Marvel Bishoujo statues), Psylocke was sculpted by Yu Ishii. Packaged in an attractive window box, along with an exclusive X-Men logo base, the deadly mutant is constructed of high-quality pvc plastic.

Preorders for the Marvel X Bishoujo Collection: Psylocke Statue are welcome to ship in mid-late June 2010 at JPY5800 or US$59.90 from NCS.

NEWS General Updates

SR Shooting Historica Vol. 4 Announced
Yujin has started preorders for the fourth Shooting Historica gashapon toys and we'll open up our own reservations tomorrow. We were surprised to see the "Legend Silver Hawk Burst" ship from the recent Darius Burst in the set since we assumed Yujin would be releasing the toys in some sort of chronological order. At least the "Flint Lock" from Xexex is in there along with the "X-002" from X-Multiply.
Winds of Change in Japanese Wholesale
Wholesalers in Japan have started changing the way they do business and credit appears to be in jeopardy. In the past 20 years that we've been buying from Japan, deposits were only required for big games such as Dragon Quest VII or Final Fantasy XIII but wholesalers are now asking for deposits on all releases. We're assuming a bunch of businesses went out of business in the past year which is forcing vendors to tighten their credit terms and/or eliminate them entirely. NCS won't be affected by the change but it's a signal that times aren't good in Japan.
