NCS Product Synopsis
«©NCSX» The third series of Shooting Game Historica 3 gashapon toys was released on Wednesday in Japan and NCS received our entire shipment today. The complete roster of ships in the set is as follows:
» Wolf Fang - Blue armored mech which carries a blaster rifle
» Raiden - Raiden mk-II (red) or Raiden mk-IIb (blue)
» Soukyugurentai - S.O.Q-004 Toryu with multiple movable parts
» Kaitei Daisensou: In the Hunt - Squat submarine designed by Irem
» Maneuver Cepter Granada - A blue tank with moxie
» Star Soldier - The Ceaser which features a transformable cockpit
The blue Raiden mk-IIb was missing in the Shooting Game Historica 3 gashapon version from last month but it is included in the SP set. The mk-IIb is painted with a pretty pastel blue color and each of the other five ships also has a color or model variant. The default color for the Soukyugurentai S.O.Q-004 ship is red and its variant color is pastel-blue with shades of gray. The orange submarine from In the Hunt is also available in a light-blue model and the variant Ceaser features red trim instead of blue trim in the default model. The quality of the ships is admirable for the price point that they're offered at and we're pleased with Yujin's level of craftsmanship. Due to time constraints this morning (translation: Monster Hunter 3 arrived), a photo gallery of the original and variant ships will be posted on Monday morning. All preorders for the Shooting Historica 3 SP sets will ship today and new orders are welcome at US$68.90 per factory sealed box of 12 toys.

Wii Monster Hunter 3-Tri - New Import, In Stock
NCS Product Synopsis
«©NCSX» Wander into the wilderness once more and hunt down monsters great and small. Your job as a Hunter isn't to record their feeding or breeding habits in a little journal. No, your job is to slay them all. By using weapons that are well-suited for all out war, the Hunter slashes, stabs, slices, and dices his way through legions of hapless creatures. Victims include docile monsters who are easy-going plant eaters that wouldn't hurt a fly as well as rampaging creatures who are hunters in their own right.
At the outset of the game, players create a custom Monster Hunter by adjusting a number of variables such as clothing color, hair style, and eye color. Every Hunter starts the game with a run of the mill sword and shield but players may out him/her with better weapons during the course of the game. Along with everyday monster butchering, Hunters also get to tackle missions which invariably involve monster hunting. Different weapons featured in the game include swords, gun-bows, axes, hammers, and more. In addition to killing all manner of monsters on land, players will also get to dive underwater and slay monsters in the murky depths where serpentine creatures dwell. The Wii Nunchuk and Remote controls are well suited for monster hunting where all of the functions including camera adjustment are within reach of the player's fingers on both hands.

PSP Evangelion Battle Orchestra - New Import, In Stock
NCS Product Synopsis
«©NCSX» The Evangelion and Angels go to war once more in a pseudo 3D fighting game where the combatants punch, kick, and jump their way through the ranks. We term Evangelion Battle Orchestra a "pseudo 3D" fighting game because the action takes place on a 2D plane ala Naruto Narutimett Hero but the world is rendered in 3D which twists and turns with the action on screen. There's also a collection of cut-scenes that are shown during a fight when a special attack or weapon is triggered. The animation serves to break up the flow of the battle and perhaps energize the gamer with a feeling of power and authority.
The Evangelion are not tethered to any power source and they're free to ramble around the battlefield like free men. An EVA mech can attack with conventional blows, bladed weaponry, and firearms for distance attacks. Wooden crates that appear on stage may be cracked open to reveal power-ups and weapons for use in the battle. The "Rumble Mode" of the game features four-player fighting which gets a little cramped when all four combatants are in each other's faces and punching like felons. The D-pad or L-Analog can be used for movement; the controls are somewhat floaty but acceptable for an Evangelion game from Broccoli.
The PSP version of NGE: BO features 24 characters to use in the game, a multi-player ad hoc mode, and a Mission Mode which contains 100 stages. The first production of the game will ship with two bonus postcards and two shiny circular stickers which bear the image of an Evangelion in motion.

PSP To Heart 2 Portable - New Import, In Stock
NCS Product Synopsis
«©NCSX» Lucy Maria Misora, Tamaki Kousaka, and the other To Heart 2 girls return in another conversion of the popular romance adventure from 2004. The PSP game features a new heroine who joins the regular cast and new scenarios which bolster the original storylines.
The game begins in the home of protagonist Takaki Kōno who's been left home alone by his parents. They're away on a work-related stint and they've entrusted him with the protection of their quaint abode which features spartan decor. After the background story is established at the outset, a girl named Konomi Yuzuhara joins Takaki in the living room and holds what should be termed a soliloquy. She does a lot of talking with nary a reply from Takaki. Although the girls in the game speak with the voice of an actress, Takaki is silent to preserve the illusion that the player is in his shoes. After Konomi's speech, the two go into the kitchen where she helps herself to a bowl of cereal. We're pretty sure she's enjoying the Japanese equivalent of Corn Pops. Konomi can take liberties such as free cereal at the Kōno household and barging into Takaki's house uninvited because she's known him since they were children and they're copacetic. Over the years, Konomi has become fond of Takaki but their relationship is about to take a more serious turn when she she graduates from junior high and joins him in high school. Along with Konomi as a potential love interest, a cast of girls are also fair game for relationships including an alien from outer space named Lucy Maria Misora who Takaki finds lying on the ground one day.
PSP To Heart 2 Portable W-Pack - New Import, In Stock
NCS Product Synopsis
«©NCSX» The "W-Pack" edition of To Heart 2 Portable ships in a standard UMD case which holds two discs. The first UMD contains the To Heart 2 game while the second UMD holds the original To Heart game.
The PSP conversion of To Heart is based on the original Playstation game which features voice acting and censorship. The game begins in the protagonist Hiroyuki Fujita's bedroom. An alarm is beeping and doing its job to rouse him from his slumber. School awaits and he must be on his way lest society look down upon him. Upon getting up, the room is still dark and the windows are covered by striped curtains. Brushing the curtains aside fills the room with light and the chirping of birds. The doorbell rings multiple times and a girl named Akari Kamigishi arrives to bid Hiroyuki good morning and to walk to school with him. Akari is one of the love interests in the game and she competes with a number of other girls for Hiroyuki's affection. Similar to many other love games, To Heart is a digital novel where user interaction is kept to a minimum and the storyline is fed to the player by way of dialogue and cut scenes.
In To Heart 2, the protagonist is a lad named Takaki Kōno who has two childhood friends named Konomi Yuzuhara and Tamaki Kōsaka who are potential love interests. That's in addition to a cast of classmates such as Karin Sasamori, Yuma Tonami, and an alien with pink hair named Lucy Maria Misora who all provide dramatic foil.

PS2 Final Fantasy XII International Zodiac Job - New Import
NCS Product Synopsis
«©NCSX» When FFXII was released in Japan on March 16, 2006, we knew it would do well based on built-in expectations alone. The name Final Fantasy tends to guarantee big sales numbers to an ever-hungry audience. Fast forward to October 31, 2006 and stateside players also snapped the game up at a healthy clip. Last but certainly not least, European players were sated with their FFXII fix on February 23, 2007. After the world was fed the latest installment of FFXII, Square Enix went back to the well and decided that history would repeat itself. An "International" edition of FFXII would be released in Japan at full price with some slight improvements added to the mix. Square had performed the same routine with FFX, FFX-2, and the two Kingdom Hearts games.
The International version of Final Fantasy XII features a dozen license board variants which govern the professions that a character may be bequeathed. The voices in the game are from the USA version of FFXII but note that the text and dialogue is entirely in Japanese. For gamers who enjoy a theater-like experience, the action may be viewed in sweet 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio.
