Rhythm de Cooking - New Import, In Stock
«©NCSX» Back in 2006, Cooking Mama gave gamers a way to cook food by tapping and swishing on the touch screen of the Nintendo DS. Cooking Mama 2 which was released in 2007 was more of the same but as of this week, Cooking Mama 3 hasn't been announced. In other words, there's won't be any virtual portable cooking love in 2008.
That is, until MTO got into the game. Since Cooking Mama for the NDS is a no-show this year, it's up to Rhythm de Cooking to fill the void. Instead of preparing meals however, MTO's game is all about making 90 types of sweets, pastries, and confections along with various toppings and special ingredients. A total of 30 music selections from the genres of J-Pop, animation, and classical accompany the rhythm-based action.
Rockman 3 Black Ace - New Import, In Stock
«©NCSX» The year is 220X and under the cover of darkness, two conspirators are... conspiring to send a fiery crimson meteor to wreak havoc on the FM World. The static and noise interference from the heavenly body known as Meteor G causes electrical systems to degrade and sputter. With no one else qualified to handle the threat, Subaru and friends are charged once again with saving the FM World. Similar to previous Ryusei Rockman games and the Rockman EXE series in general, battles are fought on grids. In the case of the new game, the camera hovers just above the back of Subaru Hoshikawa's spiky hair while a 4 x 3 tiled battleground is laid out before him. In the first battle, Subaru faces off against 2 helmeted enemies. Simply press the "B" button to send a barrage against each one and move around to avoid any incoming fire.

Illvelo Wii: Illmatic Envelope - New Import, In Stock
«©NCSX» Milestone gave gamers Chaos Field, Rajirugi (Radirgy), and Karous in the past few years but they're back with another vertical shooter which sports a strange name. Illmatic Envelope originally made the rounds in location tests at Club Sega venues last year and was officially released this past summer in Japan as a coin-op Naomi kit.
We're convinced that Milestone builds their shmups with a "Shoot 'em up construction kit" which allows them to lay out the stages, adjust the palette, and set the bullet patterns. The construction kit is probably open-ended so they can add new functions by way of special "filters" or "modules" that make their shooters less cookie cutter and discernible from the previous one.
In Illvelo, players shoot at enemies with standard shots but "dolls" may also be used to attack and protect the main ship. The wrinkle in Illvelo that makes it unique is the warp function where over 100 hidden stages may be visited for short jaunts where objectives are conquered and the player is rewarded. All orders for Illvelo will include a bonus DVD that was given away by the publisher in 1:1 ratio.
Samurai Dou 3 - New Import, In Stock
«©NCSX» From the remains of a tattered battlefield, a lone figure staggers to his feet and shuffles towards some unknown destination. As if to contrast the starkness of the dead bodies on the battlefield, the surrounding environs are lush green and full of life. That shuffling survivor serves as the hero of Samurai Dou 3 and he has choices to make and enemies to kill in Acquire's latest take on their popular sword fighting franchise.
True to previous games in the Samurai Dou series, the actions and decisions made by the protagonist affect the attitudes of those around him. For example, if a sword is drawn against normal villagers, they'll consider the protagonist a threat and react accordingly in his presence. The multiple choices available during an interaction or encounter allows for numerous outcomes and endings that hinge on how the protagonist acts. A wide assortment of weaponry may also be used in the game including bare hands, swords, spears, and more.

Gpara DVD Magazine Vol 4 for JPN DVD - Clearance
Original Update: August 10, 2000
«©NCSX» The August 2000 (Volume 4) of Gpara DVD Magazine previews 69 console games due in August. Each preview runs for about 32 seconds each and gives a peek at the game. The Gpara Special section of the disc checks out Dragon Quest VII with cinemas, a history of the Dragon Quest series and an interview with Yuji Horii. A new monthly feature, Technique Theater, gives players some pointers on playing the mini games found in Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. In the retro-gaming feature for this issue, GPara visits an otaku who has managed to accumulate 2565 copies of Jaleco's Pro Yakyu Famista. In one sequence, he spells out "DVD" with stacks of Famista cartridges. Why would someone voluntarily collect that many copies of a single game? We're guessing the carts were cheap and he's severely obsessive compulsive.
Sale Offering: NCS' remaining inventory of Gpara DVD Magazine Vol. 4 for the Japanese DVD is new, factory sealed, and in excellent condition. Pricing is set at US$9.90 per copy which includes "free" shipping by USPS Media Mail within the U.S.
