«©NCSX» In Midway's Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe, gamers finally get to answer daunting questions such as, "Can Superman beat Raiden?" and "What happens when Batman meets Kano?" These questions and more will be answered when players get their hands on MK vs DCU for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 in North America and Europe. Generally, games are the same in both territories but there'll be censoring in the U.S. version. To achieve a "Teen" rating in the States, Midway had to edit the Joker's gunshot-in-the-face fatality and Kitana's fan-to-forehead-impaling fatality. Seeing such heinous fictional acts would apparently traumatize the youth of North America.
Europeans are apparently a more permissive lot as their version of MK vs DCU won't be censored. Both fatalities made it to the production version of the game which arrived yesterday. NCS is currently accepting new orders for the second shipment of MK vs DCU which is scheduled to arrive in the first week of December 2008.

Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe - New Import, Restock Soon
Flower, Sun, and Rain - New Import, In Stock
«©NCSX» Earlier this year, NCS took delivery of the Japanese Nintendo DS conversion of Flower, Sun, and Rain - a game that was originally released on the Playstation 2 in 2001. The European (English) version arrived yesterday. The protagonist of the adventure is a detective named Sumio Mondo who gets caught up in a bizarre time loop on an island resort.
Detective Sumio Mondo has been hired by the manager of a resort known as Flower, Sun, and Rain which sits in the middle of the Lospass island paradise. According to the manager Ed Macalister, there's been a terrorist threat at Lospass Airport but once Sumio enters the resort, he's badgered by hotel guests who request his assistance. Tied up with the rabble, Sumio misses his trip to the airport and a plane explodes while flying over Lospass...
Hirameki Action Chibikko Wagyan no Ookina - JPN Preorder
«©NCSX» Namco revives a little dragon beastie first seen in a series of Famicom, Super Famicom, and Game Gear games from the early 90s. According to our historical database, there were 12 Chibikko Wagyan games released between 1989 and 1994.
The upcoming NDS release is a side scrolling platform action game where players control a green dragon who jumps, runs up walls, and attacks enemies with its voice. The dragon's roar is powerful enough to paralyze and incapacitate hapless foes. The stages upon which the dragon jumps and romp upon include a tropical isle, a prehistoric expanse, underground ruins, and more. A collection of mini games are also playable including a competitive Concentration exercise where players flip over cards on a 4x4 grid to match a cat, rocket, squid, and other items. Preorders are welcome to ship on January 29, 2009.
Megami Ibunroku: Devil Survivor - JPN Preorder
«©NCSX» Tokyo has been marked for annihilation in 7 days time and that level of carnage really can't come to pass. To stop the impending destruction, a heroic lad who's still in high school makes a deal with an assemblage of demons to bring Tokyo back from the brink.
Players control a to-be-named protagonist who's equipped with a special portable gadget that allows him to recruit demons into his party. By using the power of demons under his control, the player's party battles malevolent devils as well as rampaging Japanese citizens who have lost their grip on reason and have begun rioting. Human cohorts in the game include Atsuro Kihara and Yuzu Tani who are fellow students and friends of the protagonist. Preorders are welcome to ship on January 15, 2009 at JPY4980 or US$48.90 from NCS.
Kanu Unchou Solid Mouse Pad - JPN Preorder
Similar to the Yoko Ritona Solid Mouse Pad, the Kanu Mouse Pad is wrapped in a stretchy and satiny material which allows for mouse gliding movement. Preorders are welcome to ship in mid-late February 2009.
Nendroid-Petit The Idolmaster Stage 01 - JPN Preorder
«©NCSX» The pop-idol songstresses of Idolmaster are invariably chipper, ebullient, and tend to flash million dollar smiles. The girls can also belt out J-Pop vocals with the best of them since they've been trained under the tutelage of doting handlers. What happens however when the girls are shrunk and Nendroid-ized by the folks at Good Smile Company?
For one, they're a lot cuter. Miki Hoshii in her Petit Nendroid incarnation is a sassy blonde moppet without equal and Ritsuko Akizuki looks like a baby librarian. Five characters are featured in the upcoming Nendroid Petit set and appear in two versions - one in street clothes and the other in pink holiday dresses. As usual, Miki gets special treatment and she appears in three different figures. Preorders are welcome to ship in mid-late March 2009 at JPY6800 or US$68.90 per factory sealed box of 12 figures.
Gurren-lagann Yoko Space Look & Gunbee - JPN Preorder
«©NCSX» After her stint as a member of Team Dai-Gurren, Yoko Ritona decided to part ways with Simon and Nia to work as an elementary school teacher on a small isle. While there, Yoko takes on the moniker of Yomako and gets around by motoring along on a hovercycle known as the Gunbee. After a rescue mission to save Simon, Yoko eventually returns to the small isle as the principal of the school.
Previous sculptures of Yoko Ritona have focused on her days as a member of Team Gurren but Movic's upcoming Gurren-lagann Yoko Space Look & Gunbee is based on her Yomako phase. The PVC figure is set to 1/5 scale and measures 25cm or 9.84" in length. Yoko straddles the Gunbee and wears a 2-piece bikini and a sheer gossamer-like shawl that's probably a raincoat of some sort. A pair of orange shades and white circus leggings complete the left-of-center ensemble.
Preorders are welcome to ship in mid-late February 2009 at JPY13800 or US$149 from NCS. Due to the size of the figure, NCS recommends only shipping by UPS Ground within the continental United States.

Ready 2 Rumble Boxing: Round 2 for GBA - Clearance
Original Update: May 30, 2001
«©NCSX» When Midway released R2R Boxing: Round 2 across a plethora of platforms in 2001, NCS is fairly certain that the GBA version was an afterthought. There's not much of a challenge in the boxing action and the game isn't anything we'd stare at for minutes on end. We consider the GBA version as more of a collectible item for gamers who are interested in having every single version of the R2R game in their collections.
Sale Offering: NCS' remaining inventory of Ready 2 Rumble Boxing: Round 2 for the Gameboy Advance is new, factory sealed, and in excellent condition. Pricing is set at US$22.90 per copy which includes "free" shipping by USPS Media Mail within the U.S.
