«©NCSX» The railway is an important part of any metropolitan city's infrastructure. The rails move passengers, freight, and even fuel across a locality and serve as a transportation backbone. With this in mind, players enter the world of A Ressha de Gyoukou DS as the president of a railway company whose mission is to encourage urban growth and development by expanding the railway system.
As president of the company, players have access to a secretary, managers, and even conductors who relay the state of operations back to headquarters. A versatile camera system allows gamers to keep an eye on the city and the train system as it is built to make sure everything flows together nicely. The game is controlled entirely through the touch pen which is used to lay down miles of track, perform banking duties, and manage projects with a few taps and drags on the touch screen.

After recovering, Naoki's adventure begins amidst ruined cars, crumbling infrastructure, and imminent danger. During the adventure, secondary shocks and tremors reverberate through the city which causes the screen to shake and shudder for an added visual effect.

Death Smiles - New Import, Restock Tuesday
«©NCSX» Three female warriors with a lolita-goth bent serve as the selectable protagonists and maidens of destruction in Death Smiles. Windia is a red-haired moppet which wears a petticoat and seems too staunchly gothic for her own good. The demure Follet looks like a junior maid-in-training and the last member of the DS sisterhood is a blonde named Casper. Each gal is accompanied by a winged and invincible familiar which bolsters her firepower and offensive attacks.
The game is a horizontal shooter that's somewhat similar to Sol Divide with rendered graphics and hordes of monsters that attack from the front and the back. To address the assault from both sides, Death Smiles uses three buttons - one button fires to the right, another button swivels the heroine to shoot to the left, and the third button throws out a bomb. The bosses are an odd and varied lot which include a mooing bovine named Mary that's photo-realistic, an animated corpse-like face that protrudes from the ground, and a ghastly tree with hollow red eyes and claw-like branches. The bullet patterns in Death Smiles are fairly challenging to maneuver through but the cross-fire never gets too unfair. A deft and skilled player can get through the entire game on a single credit by way of twitchy moves, bullet memorization skills, and maybe a little bit luck.
Death Smiles Limited Edition - New Import, Restock Soon
«©NCSX» The limited edition of Death Smiles gave us headaches as well as a little heartache over the past couple of weeks due to the supply shortages from the publisher. For a couple of weeks, we weren't sure if we'd be able to get any copies due to the extremely limited quantity that was being released to distribution. As of last night however, we've been able to scrounge up enough to fill roughly 1/2 of our preorders which will be shipping today and tomorrow. We're still negotiating with a few of our vendors to procure some of their inventory which they received yesterday. Some of our vendors couldn't even get a single copy of the game for themselves which was an unfortunate surprise. Please wait for an update by tomorrow morning regarding the next batch of Death Smiles LE which may arrive by Wednesday of next week and should possibly be enough to fill all of our remaining preorders.
Artist Atsushi Inoue illustrated the aesthetically pleasing cover for the limited edition which is shown to the left. The LE package also includes the following bonuses:
» Manabu Namiki Selection: Death Smiles Premium Arrange Album which contains 15 tracks (SKU Code: CVST-0009)
» Special Death Smiles slipcase which holds the game DVD and music CD

«©NCSX» Originally released for the Playstation 2 in 2005, Capcom ports Monster Hunter G to the Nintendo Wii this week. Players take on the role of an adventurer who ventures into the wilderness to butcher dinosaurs, monsters, and other creatures. The Wii conversion of the game features new monsters and monster variants, a new quest mode, and four player cooperative online play.

The weapons are outlandishly big and an assortment of spears and swords may be hefted for killing forays. The option to carry a weapon in each hand is also possible for double slashing action. When attacking jumpy and excitable beasts, a player may be overcome if the monsters decide to attack en masse but sweeping berserker attacks may be pulled off to fend them off. Larger monsters tend to move slowly and provide a massive and stationary meat target for the most part. Then there are the winged wyverns which swoop in for the kill with an aerial dive. Four players can link up online for cooperative play. The first printing of the game includes a playable preview of Monster Hunter 3-tri and a bonus Monster Hunter Hunting Promo Card.

Original Release in Japan: November 18, 2000
«©NCSX» New and factory sealed Pokemon Gameboy Color Light which features Pikachu as a mascot and a PokeBall lamp which lights up the screen of the Gameboy Color. It may seem improbable to you young'uns out there but once upon a time, handheld gaming machines didn't have backlights, sidelights, or any form of internal illumination. The only way to see the screen was to have eyes like Superman or sit underneath the loving rays of the sun or another suitable light source.
The Pokemon Gameboy Light hails from the dark ages of portable gaming and it's designed for use with the Gameboy Color. A little clip latches the lamp onto the handheld and a pushbutton switch on the Pokeball toggles the LED light on and off. A single CR2032 cell powers the lamp.
