Metal Gear Solid 4 Dog Tag Strap - Preorder

When MGS4 ships this summer, it's going to be a global event where the culmination of Kojima's work is laid bare for the world to witness. Sales for the game are expected to be monumental but tie-in merchandising has for the most part been kept to a threadbare minimum.

System Service bucked the trend over the weekend by starting preorders for a set of Metal Gear Solid 4 Dog Tag Straps which feature the following personalities: Old Snake, Raiden, Meryl, Johnny, Vamp, and Liquid Ocelot. Each dog tag measures 50mm or 1.96" in length and is made of metal. A strap is tethered to the top of each dog tag for attachment to your cell phone or perhaps your ring finger. The dog tags will be packaged in plastic capsules and sold randomly in Japan. To make it easy as pie for collectors to get all six dog tags, NCS will sort out the capsules into complete sets of six and sell them in mid-late July 2008. Preorders are welcome today.

Golden Week Holiday

Our Japanese suppliers started the Golden Week Holiday over the weekend and their festivities will continue until May 7, 2008. Due to the holiday, no new game imports are expected this week.

We may receive some restock shipments of the Gamecube White Controller and the Wii Super Famicom Controller this week but we'll update accordingly if the stock actually arrives in time. Some toy shipments that were dispatched last week should land tomorrow.

Lego Stunt Men at Work - Clearance

For today's offer, NCS digs out a set of four Lego Studios toys which feature stuntmen and their vehicles. One guy goes airborne in his one-man helicopter, another plays the part of Hollywood director in his buggy with camera mount, there's the grungy racing guy with stubble, and finally, the man on a jet ski. The toys may be constructed alone but they can also be mixed and molded together so that new vehicles are created. All four kits can be commingled to create a large helicopter-like vehicle with a working rotor and wheels.
