NEWS Independence Day on Monday

Monday's a holiday in the USA and NCS is going to be on hiatus. All orders that are placed over the coming weekend and Monday will ship on Tuesday (July 5, 2011).

The exodus out of New York City began last night with traffic snarled on the roads to JFK and LaGuardia airports. As such, the roads were fairly barren on this morning's commute but another wave of outbound travelers should be hitting the roads later this afternoon.

 NEWS General Updates

Slow Striker
«©NCSX» Our shipments of DC Fast Striker are still in transit from NGDEV but they should arrive this week. We'll probably never use DHL for European shipments again but the Christmas and New Year holidays were likely factors in the slow delivery.
Holiday in Japan Yesterday

We forgot that every second Monday in January is Seijin no Hi or Coming of Age Day in Japan... which sort of messed up this week's early release chances for Arcana Heart 3. Due to the holiday yesterday, all new releases are on regular delivery schedule for later this week.
Nintendo 3DS

Preorders for the Japanese version of the Nintendo 3DS should kick off next week if alerts from suppliers are correct. We watched a bunch of the Nintendo World 2011 exhibitions over the weekend and Kid Icarus 3DS looks good.

NEWS Independence Day Holiday

NCS Synopsis
«©NCSX» The Fourth of July holiday falls on a Sunday this year. However, no one is going to be cheated out of a holiday.

No one.

Not us.

Not you.

Not UPS, Fedex, or the Postal Service.

No one.

To make sure that all Americans are afforded a proper July 4th holiday, July 5th is a holiday this year. That's right, even though July 5 isn't a holiday, it is a holiday this year. So, whenever the Gregorian Calendar tries to cheat anyone out of a holiday again, it better know that Americans are going to make another day a holiday. Take that.

Boku no Natsuyasumi 4 - New Import, In Stock

NCS Product Synopsis
«©NCSX» Summer vacations are generally relaxing, somewhat interesting, and if you're lucky, filled with tons of stuff to do. The preceding sentence is descriptive of the summer vacations in the Boku no Natsuyasumi (My Summer Vacation) series of games. In case you've never enjoyed a video game vacation, here's your chance to take one on your Sony PSP.

The destination in the latest Boku no Natsuyasumi is an island in Japan which features a modern city but is also brimming with nature so that there's lots of things for a young boy to occupy himself with. The year in the game is 1985 when life was a little simpler than it is now. Activities including fishing, swimming, beetle battling, toy collecting, dancing, sumo wrestling with toys, insect catching with a net, and much more. The island is close to other islands which may be visited by swimming short distances. There's also a drumming mini-game that's somewhat evocative of Namco's Taiko no Tatsujin. Sort of. Coin-op video games of the day may also be enjoyed including a faithful rendition of QIX from Taito. Occasionally, family members will visit and the entire clan from at least three generations will get enjoy a hearty meal together.

To chronicle the good times and record them for posterity, a picture book diary is gradually filled with scrawled images of events and activities experienced over the course of the vacation.
