TOYS Kubrick Star Wars DX Series 1 - Import Preorder

NCS Preorder Synopsis
«©NCSX» Medicom kicks off the Kubrick Star Wars DX Series 1 this summer with a brand spanking new set of six Star Wars figures inspired by the events in the Star Wars: Return of the Jedi motion picture. The six standard figures are as follows:

» Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight - Wears a gray smock and black shirt
» C-3PO & Salacious B. Crumb - Salacious rides on C-3PO's shoulder
» R2-D2 (Jabba's Barge) - The droid serves drinks to Jabba's crew
» Chewbacca (Boushh's Prisoner) - Wookiee engages in a ruse
» Amanaman - Sunflower-colored bounty hunter with blue trim
» Bib Fortuna - Jabba's cunning and ruthless attendant

Extra parts are included inside each figure which allows toy fans to create the hulking bulk of Jabba the Hutt. The slug-like form of Jabba rests on a slab of segmented PVC and a hookah pipe sits to his side. Medicom will include a pop-up cardboard display which is designed to look like Jabba's palace in each Master Carton of 4 factory cases. Desirable chase figures are also expected to be dispersed randomly inside each Master Carton.

Preorder pricing is set at JPY15,360 per factory case of 12 figures which is about US$172 based on this morning's JPY/USD exchange rate. NCS is accepting reservations at US$175.90 per box of 12 figures. Please note our price takes into account overnight shipping rates from Japan since we'd like to get these into the States as quickly as possible once they're released.

TOYS Kubrick 400% Star Wars C-3PO - Import Preorder

NCS Preorder Synopsis
«©NCSX» The Kubrick 400% versions of Han Solo and Luke Skywalker in Storm Trooper outfits were released 5 years ago and they sold like gangbusters. The Darth Vader 400% sold well but too many of those were produced and they saturated the market. For the next Kubrick 400% Star Wars figure, Medicom turns their attention to the golden one.

No, not Donald Trump but the wise and slightly batty C-3PO who has seen more action than most language bots should have a right to see. C-3PO measures 30cm or 11.81" tall and sparkles like a spit-shined hubcap. Medicom is limiting the production to only 1000 units and preorders are welcome to ship in late July 2010 at JPY9800.

NDS/Wii Ivy the Kiwi? - Import Preorder

NCS Preorder Synopsis
«©NCSX» Yuji Naka's Ivy the Kiwi? debuted on the Windows Phone platform last year and it's headed to the Nintendo DS and Wii on April 22. In the game, players scrawl and stretch vines on the screen in order to direct the lemming-like Kiwi into certain paths and across obstacles. Ivy isn't very bright nor is she particularly thoughtful. She just marches onwards with resolute determination in a quest to find her mama. Due to Ivy's lack of street smarts, players will have to keep an eye out for her and make she she doesn't plunge to her death, get spiked by jagged iron, or otherwise falter to the reaper. In addition to serving as conveyances, the vines may also be whipped and pulled in order to slingshot the Kiwi through walls like an orange avian cannonball.
Preorders for the Nintendo DS and the Nintendo Wii versions of Ivy the Kiwi are welcome to ship on April 22, 2010 at JPY3800 or US$43.90.

NEWS General Updates

Wii Tales of Graces - Recall
NBGI will be allowing purchasers of Tales of Graces (Wii) to exchange their game discs for bug-free replacements in the near future. An announcement was made last week but please note that final details are pending. NCS will be able to send the discs back to one of our agents in Japan to handle the exchange. We'll notify customers who have purchased the game by email once we have more information. Please note that there might be a nominal fee to cover shipping costs.
NEWS Another Spam Filter
A new spam filtering program was installed on our PCs earlier this week and it seems to be working well. Over 1,000 Viagra ads have been blocked already along with roughly 600 penis enlargement solicitations. We missed out on a few promises of wealth from rich overseas benefactors who were anxious to deposit the sum of $7,000,000 into our bank accounts. Too bad, because that amount would have helped with inventory procurement whenever the Playstation 4 or Xbox 720 reaches market.
