Simple DS Series Vol. 48: The Saibanin - Import Preorder

«©NCSX» The protagonist of The Saibanin lies prone above the snow whilst a puddle of blood pools below his head. He's clearly dead but his immortal spirit lives on to influence a court case against his accused killer. By using spiritual power and eerie possession to influence lawyers and prosecutors alike, the hero ghost tries to sway the judge and jury during a very personal murder trial. Preorders are welcome to ship on May 21, 2009 at JPY2800 or US$30.90 from NCS.

Golgo 13: File G-13 o Oe - Import Preorder (Re-order)

«©NCSX» The shadowy world of professional assassins and the syndicates who hire them for nefarious purposes is explored in Marvelous' upcoming Golgo 13 quiz and mini-game compilation. The quiz portion of the game contains over 400 questions which touch on all aspects of the Golgo 13 universe while one mini-game features shooting action where the shots are accomplished by touch-pen tapping. The Golgo 13 software is played in book format where the unit is rotated 90° counterclockwise and held open like a book. The protagonist of the Golgo 13 property is a somber and overly impassive hired killer named Duke Togo who gives his approval as you answer questions correctly and shoot targets with unerring accuracy.

Preorders are welcome to ship on June 18, 2009 at JPY4980 or US$52.90 from NCS. Please note that preorders are being accepted again after the publisher canceled the first round of preorders earlier this year.

Agarest Senki ZERO - Import Preorder

«©NCSX» The first Agarest Senki game sold reasonably well in Japan and apparently did well enough to engender a prequel which ships this summer. Agarest Senki is a mix of interactive sequences between cast members and turn-based tactical battles where the protagonist and party face off against enemy forces and creatures. Similar to the first Agarest game, players start off with one hero but by way of the "Soul Breeding" system and hookups with an chosen heroine, further generations may be spawned to continue the bloodline. Interactive sequences are played to improve the connection with a heroine and when "breeding," the attributes of a girl and the hero himself are passed on to the offspring. That's how it is in real life, y'know with genetics and all...

Preorders are welcome to ship on June 25, 2009. In addition to the regular edition of the game, Compile Heart is also accepting reservations for a limited edition which includes a Original Game Soundtrack CD which contains voice actor and actress interviews and a 300-piece jigsaw puzzle which features artwork of the cast of characters.

Onore no Shinzuru Michi wo Tatashike - Import Preorder

«©NCSX» Travel back to old Edo-era Japan and take on the role of a ninja warrior who runs through stages and contends with demons, the elements, puzzles, and more in a quest to rescue a princess. Since the hero is a mighty ninja, he has a gang of faintly-outlined shadow ninjas (from the past, no less) who trail him and may be used to step on switches, attack enemies, fire cannons, and perform other tasks.

The publisher From Software is tying the release of the game with the launch of a ninja-themed snack from a company called Tohato. The snacks don't look particularly appealing and appear to be puffed wheat or corn or whatever. A photo of the snack may be viewed on our shop's product listing gallery.

Preorders for the Japanese PSP import Onore no Shinzuru Michi wo Tatashike are welcome to ship on June 11, 2009 at JPY3800 or US$39.90.

Fate/Unlimited Codes Portable - Import Preorder

«©NCSX» Saber, Shiro, Rin, and the rest of the FATE/STAY rabble are back in a 2D fighting game which was developed by Capcom and Cavia with the game engine supplied by Eighting. The game looks 3D but the fighters face off on a 2D plane with the occasional 3D background shift and special attacks that swivel the screen in 3D motion. For example, when Caster performs a magic attack, she flies up into the air and opens her cape like a butterfly before the torrent of lasers skewer her opponent below. The attack is shown in 3D via cut-scene cinema before the 2D fighting action takes over again. Gilgamesh also has a watch-worthy special attack where he binds his opponent with lengths of chain before serving the coup de grĂ¢ce. The cut scenes mesh beautifully with the fighting to provide a fluid gaming experience for fans of the Fate Stay franchise.

The PS2 conversion from last year included a Tutorial Mode, a Practice Mode with CPU modifiers, a Mission Mode, and an Extra Mode which contains a visual collection and movies. The upcoming PSP port of the game features all of the PS2 modes along with new game system elements such as the Reflect Dash move for additional strategic considerations that rejiggers the balance of the game, multi-player ad hoc mode, and new costumes. Preorders ship on June 18, 2009.
