Cyber Maid Alice - New Import, In Stock

Have you ever wanted a personal maid who wears a petticoat, runs around doing nothing of consequence, and plays dress up to boot? Thanks to the folks at Geisha Tokyo, any PC owner can have access to a miniature virtual maid who resides on your desktop. Since Cyber Maid Alice is an Augmented Reality product, the maid is literally on your desktop. If you have a malicious bent, Alice can be made to cry but if you're benevolent, gifts may be given to her so she'll rejoice.

To operate Cyber Maid Alice, a PC and a webcam are required but not included. To get started, you'll have to download the necessary setup software from Geisha Tokyo's website.

The webcam is used to project an image of Alice on top of the Cyber Cube. She'll react to external stimuli provided by the Cyber Stick. For example, pouncing the Cyber Stick on her bosom will cause her to react in a convincing way. Alice can also talk, make gestures and show a range of emotions. A video of Alice's antics is viewable on Youtube. Update Oct 16, 2008: The manufacturer has posted up a new Youtube video which shows the possibilities and the outfits that Alice can wear.

Excellent Model Capcomaniax Felicia - New, In Stock

Megahouse started the Capcomaniax figure line earlier this year with an Ibuki figure and a Mika figure. Ibuki was a popular item as expected but Mika... not so much. Maybe Mika's too manly with her gorilla-like musculature and behemoth-esque stature. To bulk up their Capcomaniax offerings, Megahouse releases a sculpture which features the wily Felicia of Vampire fame in 1/8 scale. We're thinking Morrigan can't be too far behind with her own Capcomaniax debut.

In her 'Maniax turn, Felicia pounces down a grey section of banister with perfect feline form. If the lights were turned down low, the sculpture would exhibit a light and airy silhouette that's evocative of Felicia's wily ways. The Vampire heroine is decked out in her regulation issue fighting threads and the blue tresses are wavy as usual. The height of the figure is listed at 23cm or approximately 9" tall and roughly that much in length.

Please note that the figure is encased in a blister pack and Felicia's tail is unattached from the factory. Her curly tail must be plugged in but the attachment doesn't require any glue and it'll only take a few seconds.

Due to the high cost of shipping Felicia into the States, NCS is raising the price of the figure to US$82.90 but we will honor all preorders that were submitted at US$68.90. Each retail box incurs dimensional weight and we recommend only shipping by UPS Ground within the United States.

Gurren-Lagann Yoko no Dokuro T-Shirt - Import Preorder

Why is the Yoko Ritona (of Gurren-Lagann fame) themed t-shirt priced at JPY6000 or US$68.90? No one at NCS knows at this time but we have a couple of guesses. Maybe there's a few ounces of silver thread intertwined with the cotton fabric. Maybe the licensing costs were loftier than normal and Cospa was forced to super-size their retail price.

The Yoko no Dokuro T-Shirt features a skull with hair pins on the front and Yoko's sniper rifle on the pack. If you walk down the street wearing the t-shirt, you might be mistaken for a revolutionary warrior of some stripe. Preorders are welcome to ship in mid-late November 2008.

Vampire Knight Armband - Import Preorder

Cospa's upcoming Vampire Knight Armband won't be released in time for this year's Halloween festivities but if you're looking for a really simple "costume" for next year, it doesn't get much simpler than this.

In the Vampire Knight serial, Prefects of Cross Academy such as Yuki Cross and Zero Kiryu wear a black school outfit with a white armband which features the crimson "Starry Cross" on the side. No Vampire Knight cosplayer should be caught dead without one.

Cospa's official Vampire Knight Armband measures 10cm x 40cm and is meant to be wrapped around your left bicep. Preorders are welcome to ship in mid-late November 2008 at US$22.90 from NCS.

General Updates

Little Big Planet
As of Friday evening, we were expecting a restock shipment of LBP (first printing) today but Sony has recalled all shipments that were in the channel. Sadly, the copies that were recalled will likely be destroyed.
In related news, we were tracking shipments over the weekend and saw that most customers received their USPS Express Mail shipments on Saturday. If you selected UPS Overnight shipping, please note that the delivery date will be today since UPS does not move packages over the weekend unless a separate Saturday fee is charged.
Preorders Opening Tomorrow
Based on a notice received earlier today, we expect to start preorders for PS3 White Knight Chronicles and Wii Naruto Shipuden Geitou Ninjya Taisen ! EX3 tomorrow. WKC will include a bonus in 30% ratio.
