Join those lovers of all things equine by becoming a virtual horseman who works on a ranch located upon a tranquil hillock. The master of the ranch raises horses, breeds them and his hired hands soothe their harried spirits when occasion calls. Searching out strong bloodlines for birth forth new generations of champions is also requisite.

   The reward for giving all this love sits in the specious world of horse racing where victory is never assured and dreams run in fleeting slivers of seconds. Contribute to the success of the ranch by improving your skills via mini-games and by riding horses with skill in races. The beginning of the game requires a short trial where the player races a horse across the length of a track to prove his worth.

   Horse racing games satisfy a very small niche in America, marking their turf firmly in Japan but there is an audience of sorts for this type of game. Yushun Rhapsody supports the Mobile Adaptor for linking with ethereal players to race steeds over the wireless spectrum.

   This is a new Japanese GBA game but we learned recently that VGA won't grade games that have imperfections on the cardboard box. For example, on these particular copies of Mario Party Advance, the seams on the cardboard side flaps appear slightly stressed even if the flaps have never been opened. However, VGA will refuse to grade Japanese Gameboy Advance games that might look like they've been opened even if they haven't based on these stressed flaps. VGA will also charge you their grading fee even if they don't perform the grading due to the stressed flaps. 
 

   The stress may come from overseas shipping since these were sent from Japan nearly 20 years ago or from rubbing against other games in warehouse storage. Putting pressure on the cardboard box on either the front or back will also stress the flaps as the box is even slightly squeezed inwards. We placed these particular copies of Mario Party inside our own heat-sealed acid-free plastic bag about 18 years ago since GBA games are not naturally shrink-wrapped from the factory and we figured adding an extra layer of protection can't hurt. 

 

   Using acid-free storage bags ensures that we won't have to re-wrap the games over and over again to avoid acid-buildup in some forms of plastic bags that will leech acid after a five or so in storage.

«©NCSX» King K. Rool has stolen all of the medals to be used in the Jungle King competition and it's up to Donkey Kong to swing into action. Guide the big ape in a mission of recovery to retrieve bronze, silver, and gold medals before the big competition is ruined. Bura Bura Donkey features a simple play mechanic where the "L" and "R" triggers control movement as well as Donkey Kong's gripping hands. To move left, hold the "L" trigger and to shuffle right, hold the "R" trigger. To force a jump, hold both triggers down until DK shines a bit and release to send him leaping.

   The levels in the game are made up of pegs and pegboards which Kong grips with his hands. While floating in midair after a jump, the "R" trigger causes DK's right hand to grip a peg and the "L" trigger does the same for his left hand. After grabbing a peg, DK orbits around it and uses forward momentum to leap from peg to peg. Using just the triggers, one may guide DK in magnificent fashion through entire levels. After a few minutes of practice, players will soon jump from peg to peg in smooth, jungle king fashion.
