Onore no Shinzuru Michi wo Tatashike - New Import

©NCSX» Travel back to old Edo-era Japan and take on the role of a ninja warrior who runs through isometric stages and contends with demons, the elements, puzzles, and more in an action-packed quest to rescue a princess. At the outset of the game, the ninja and the princess are shown together on a rooftop but a winged demon swoops in and snatches her away into the darkness of the night. Since the hero is a versatile and mighty ninja, he has a gang of faintly-outlined shadow ninjas (from the past, no less) who trail him and may be used to step on switches to trigger stairways, attack roving enemies, destroy objects, fire cannons, and perform other menial tasks. The PSP analog nub or d-pad can be used to control the ninja but the nub is preferable since the movement of the ninja is smoother with the nub. The face buttons control the ninja's attacks, switch triggering, mode toggling, and special moves.

Game modes include "Story Mode," "Mission Mode," and "Wireless." The Option menu allows players to check out 19 BGM selections and adjust SE and BGM volumes. A configure menu allows gamers to do button mapping duties and a "Tutorial Mode" teaches gamers the ways of the play mechanics. We recommend checking the tutorial out since some elements of the game aren't readily apparent based on our testing this morning. For example, it's possible to summon little statues onto the playfield which drop onto switches in order to trigger them. The ninja can also perform a special billowing flame attack which destroys everything in its path. Each stage enforces a 1-minute time limit but multiple attempts are possible with each subsequent try aided by more and more shadow ninja cohorts.

Claymore Gingan no Majo - New Import, In Stock

«©NCSX» Clare is a silver-eyed killer who's a Claymore - a mercenary of sorts who has the ability to discern humans from monsters-hiding-as-humans. Clare carries a claymore as her weapon which she uses to slice and dice monsters with clean-cuts that lop off arms, legs, and even shears abdomens apart like paper. Digital Works Entertainment's new Claymore game features side scrolling platform action where Clare jumps, attacks, and lunges with stilted abandon.
When roaming the world of Claymore, Clare's a stiff-limbed and rigid warrior as she explores and faces off against adversaries. Ore ga Omae wo Mamoru - New Japanese Import

«©NCSX» Romance games in Japan are generally interactive in nature with little if any joypad action. That all changes with Idea Factory's Ore ga Omae wo Mamoru for the Nintendo DS. Geared toward players of the fairer sex, the game features 2D side scrolling action where the white-haired and highly androgynous male hero Len hacks and slashes beasts in deep dungeons. From afar, the hero looks similar to Soma Cruz of Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow but Len is far more androgynous. The story takes place in Edenvale which was once paradise but is now ruined and in disrepair. It's up to a pair of heroes to delve deep into the dungeons of Edenvale and recover a "Demon Stone" which can potentially revive Eden's grandeur. The top NDS screen shows the platform action whilst the touch screen depicts a map of the overall area and allows for menu navigation. The first printing of the game will include a bonus Drama CD in 100% ratio.

Umihara Kawase Shun Second Edition Kanzenban - Preorder

«©NCSX» The story of Umihara Kawase and her grappling hook began over a decade ago on the Super Famicom. Since then, she's made it to a couple of sequels and a remake on the Playstation Portable. The PSP remake had issues with the way the grappling hook worked (the heart and soul of the game) but publisher (株)Genterprise is giving gamers a more accurate rendition that's being supervised by the original series programmer Sakai Kiyoshi.

Umihara Kawase Shun Second Edition Kanzenban is based on the updated Playstation version of the game which was originally released in 2000 by Xing Entertainment.
The heroine Umihara Kawase swings around platforms with the use of a rubbery grappling hook which may also be swung at enemies for offensive maneuvers. The DS remake features a new stage that was also supervised by Sakai Kiyoshi. For added value, new character artwork by Makoto Satoshi is also peppered in the game.
Preorders are welcome to ship on March 26, 2009 at JPY4800 or US$53.90 from NCS. Japanese title: 海腹川背・旬~セカンドエディション~完全版
