In the To Heart 2 game, Manaka is a classmate of Tamaki's who volunteers at the library and serves as class rep. The Manaka Summer figure is decked out in a pink 2-piece bikini accompanied by a yellow inner tube which she grasps with both hands. Apparently, the new resin holds flesh colors well so that Tamaki's "skin" appears realistic. The figure is also dressed in nylon hosiery and wears a brassiere and lacey underwear made of PVC that's removable.

Although it's her wedding day, Kousaka's facial expression is sort of melancholy with only a wisp of a smile instead of an O-shaped dazzler - maybe she got wrestled into an arranged marriage with some buster. «©NCSX» Skytube's upcoming Tamaki Kousaka figure puts the To Heart 2 heroine over a shiny purple beach ball. In a conservative alternate scenario, Tamaki would be in a seated position reading a book while sipping on lemonade. In a lewd situation (which is what Skytube went with), Tamaki's in a sprawled and somewhat spread-eagled orientation that's an eye-opener. Tamaki's hair is strewn around her head and the bikini top looks like it's about to vacate the premises. The figure is sculpted to 1/6 scale and measures 7cm tall and roughly 16cm in length.

If time was fast-forwarded approximately 5 seconds, Tamaki's "girls" would be as unfettered and free as a pair of rubber duckies bobbing in a restless pond. Tamaki shows her embarrassment with a pair of rosy cheeks (uh, the ones on her face) and Miss Kousaka's arms are flailing in what appears to be desperation or perhaps exasperation.
The Tamaki Kousaka Panic! figure is sculpted to 1/8 scale and measures approximately 21cm (8.26") tall in her kneeling position. The construction material is PVC which is painted with fairly accurate flesh tones. Although the bra hangs on for dear life, it is removable. «©NCSX» Lucy Maria Misora, Tamaki Kousaka, and the other To Heart 2 girls return in another conversion of the popular romance adventure from 2004. The PSP game features a new heroine who joins the regular cast and new scenarios which bolster the original storylines.
The game begins in the home of protagonist Takaki Kōno who's been left home alone by his parents. They're away on a work-related stint and they've entrusted him with the protection of their quaint abode which features spartan decor. After the background story is established at the outset, a girl named Konomi Yuzuhara joins Takaki in the living room and holds what should be termed a soliloquy. She does a lot of talking with nary a reply from Takaki. Although the girls in the game speak with the voice of an actress, Takaki is silent to preserve the illusion that the player is in his shoes. After Konomi's speech, the two go into the kitchen where she helps herself to a bowl of cereal. We're pretty sure she's enjoying the Japanese equivalent of Corn Pops. Konomi can take liberties such as free cereal at the Kōno household and barging into Takaki's house uninvited because she's known him since they were children and they're copacetic. Over the years, Konomi has become fond of Takaki but their relationship is about to take a more serious turn when she she graduates from junior high and joins him in high school. Along with Konomi as a potential love interest, a cast of girls are also fair game for relationships including an alien from outer space named Lucy Maria Misora who Takaki finds lying on the ground one day.

«©NCSX» The "W-Pack" edition of To Heart 2 Portable ships in a standard UMD case which holds two discs. The first UMD contains the To Heart 2 game while the second UMD holds the original To Heart game.
The PSP conversion of To Heart is based on the original Playstation game which features voice acting and censorship. The game begins in the protagonist Hiroyuki Fujita's bedroom. An alarm is beeping and doing its job to rouse him from his slumber. School awaits and he must be on his way lest society look down upon him. Upon getting up, the room is still dark and the windows are covered by striped curtains. Brushing the curtains aside fills the room with light and the chirping of birds. The doorbell rings multiple times and a girl named Akari Kamigishi arrives to bid Hiroyuki good morning and to walk to school with him. Akari is one of the love interests in the game and she competes with a number of other girls for Hiroyuki's affection. Similar to many other love games, To Heart is a digital novel where user interaction is kept to a minimum and the storyline is fed to the player by way of dialogue and cut scenes.
In To Heart 2, the protagonist is a lad named Takaki Kōno who has two childhood friends named Konomi Yuzuhara and Tamaki Kōsaka who are potential love interests. That's in addition to a cast of classmates such as Karin Sasamori, Yuma Tonami, and an alien with pink hair named Lucy Maria Misora who all provide dramatic foil.

Hiromitsu Morikawa handles the production where Tamaki is set at 1/7 scale and measures 15cm or 5.90" tall in her seated position. Tamaki knocks her knees together and shucks her pink school uniform so she can face the world in her pink swim uniform. Kousaka's legs are covered by white stockings which she'll probably have to remove before going into the pool. Pricing is JPY7600 or US$78.90 from NCS. Preorders are welcome to ship in May 2009.
«©NCSX» In the popular To Heart 2 animated serial, Manaka Komaki is a high school classroom representative who's a very giving person. She's always lending a helping hand to her fellow classmates and eager to offer her assistance. Manaka has appeared in a number of toys over the past few years and they've generally all depicted Manaka as a brunette with dark brown hair, big blue eyes, and a pink/red school uniform. She's also a bit of a moppet with an impish demeanor.
Alphamax's upcoming 1/6 scale cold cast rendition of Manaka Komaki diverges from convention and depicts her as a sandy-blonde with a lanky frame and long legs. They're not supposed to be that long. Her impish demeanor is also gone and she's all grown up. Is this supposed to be a sensual version of Manaka? In Aqua Plus' To Heart 2: Another Days game for the Japanese PC, Nanako is a young girl who suspects Lucy Maria Misora of being a magician. Lucy isn't a magician... but she is an alien. Not the kind from foreign lands but the kind that hails from outer space. After Nanako's assumptions about Lucy are dashed, she decides to look for a four-leaf clover so she can reconcile with a friend named Yuko. Lucy and a friend named Tamaki help her in that regard all it's basically happily ever after for Nanako. Sort of.
In the To Heart 2: X-Rated game for the Japanese PC, Marianne isn't a main character but rather a supporting cast member in the Sasara Kusugawa scenario. Marianne is chipper, cheerful, crazy, and helps to hook her girlfriend Sasara up with the protagonist Takaaki Kono. In other words, Marianne's a godsend.
In the To Heart 2 game and subsequent OVA series, Tamaki Kousaka was an interesting character with depth and complexity. She had poise, she played the piano, had female admirers, and could cook up a storm. Normally garbed in a school uniform or casual wear, Wave's upcoming Tamaki figure does away with outerwear and features the redhead in a black two-piece bikini. She's also positioned in a compromising and vulnerable pose instead of a de rigeur stance. Two words might explain Tamaki's awkward aspect: Fan Service.
