It is here that Amano's love adventure begins! The beast men belong to the Black Domain, White Domain, or Red Domain, and tempers, rivalries, and drama conspire to turn Amano's life heels over head. Thankfully, Amano has found a job working at a restaurant operated by a woman named Skylar who freely dispenses advice on love, life, and ornery beast men.

   Choices appear throughout the story, and depending on what you choose, your "likability" will increase. In addition to likability, the ending depends on fluctuations in "rational value" and "desire value." When the likability increases, the love catch appears.    A girl named Shun Ling who lives as a Taoist apprentice in the country of Huayu, where martial arts are a way of life. Shun Ling trains under her grandfather Li Hong and she is always accompanied by her pet panda Mimi. Grandfather tells Shun Ling that romance is prohibited until she is an adult but she disagrees. This year, the Brave Martial Arts Meeting will be held to determine the strongest Han in the country, so she has high expectations for the event.

   However, on the day of the tournament, invaders appeared at the venue and began attacking the crowd. The semi-finalists banded together to repel the wave of attackers, but this was just the beginning.

   Clashes and betrayals with her friends—they protect their loved ones and their pride, even as they encounter doubts and conflict, and she fights for her beloved Han!

   What will be their fate and the future of the country?

«©NCSX» Originally released in 2008 on the Playstation 2, Soukoku no Kusabi HNK3 is an Otomate boy's love game where a female protagonist interacts with male consorts and compatriots. The heroine from the original Hiiro no Kakera - Tamaki Kasuga - returns to the role of protagonist who investigates a mystery in the village of Kifumura. One summer day, all of the villagers disappear and only members of the Tamayori family remain. Tamaki endeavors to discover what happened to the villagers and receives help from a number of boys (Mahiro, Ryo, Shinji, Suguru, Takuma, and Yuichi) who lend her a helping hand.

Similar to other boy's love games, the interaction is limited to pressing a button in order to move the story along. «©NCSX» Girl gamers are a growing force in the marketplace and Idea Factory has been more progressive than most of their publishing kin in catering to the female audience. Idea Factory went so far as to create a separate gaming label dubbed Otomate that's dedicated to serving girl gamers with a steady diet of interactive romance games. The latest in the release line-up is Hakuouki: Zuisouroku where players take on the role of a medieval maiden named Yukimura Chizuru who's surrounded by hunky and chiseled boys. She's on a mission to Beijing to find her missing father. Some of the guys in the game look like girls but maybe that's how they bred them way back in the day.

Similar to other Otomate games, Hakuouki: Zuisouroku is presented as an interactive adventure where characters converse, experience events, and forge bonds during the course of the drama. User input is fairly limited and players are primarily relegated to the role of a viewer who reads the onscreen conversations and stares at the examples of manhood that appear on screen. The voice acting by deep-voiced actors injects an additional sensory dimension to the overall romance antics.
