TOYS Persona 3 Aegis EX Resinya Series - New, In Stock

NCS Product Synopsis
«©NCSX»  In the Persona 3 game,Aegis is an android who battles the dastardly Shadows with a volatile range of weaponry. Her prerogative in the game is to protect the protagonist of Persona 3 and she serves in that capacity with able-bodied determination. NCS took delivery of Max Factory's figma rendition of Aegis late last year and in a few months, we'll bring in Cospa's EX Resinya version of the blonde Shadow-killer.

Cospa's known more for their apparel and accessories than their toys but the Aegis Resinya sculpture is an ambitious piece of work. The figure is mounted on an overly ornate vehicle and she's standing on one hoof. Aegis' left hand is pointed at something in the distance but she doesn't have any fingers - there's only miniature gun barrels that are ready to let loose. Her right hand is smoking and bullets are scattered in the air around the wisps of smoke.

TOYS Persona 4 Kuma 26cm Plush - Import Preorder

NCS Preorder Synopsis
«©NCSX» The Konamistyle edition of Persona 4 included a bonus t-shirt and a Kuma plush; the Konamistyle bundle sold like gangbusters. That particular Kuma plush was okay but it wasn't great. Not by a long shot. The reason for our muted appreciation for the Konamistyle Kuma plush lies mainly in the fact that the zipper around Kuma thick neck was non-functional. The treads were just for show and the zipper tab itself was made of felt.

Cospa remedies the zipper-less Kuma plush dilemma by announcing a new version which features a functional zipper so that Kuma's entire head may be detached from its body. Once separated, the two parts may be used to frighten little children, cats, and assorted woodland animals. Kuma measures 26cm or 10.26" tall which is larger than we'd like mainly because shipping charges per plush are going to be high. Reservations are welcome to ship in mid-late June 2010 at JPY3800 or US$50.90 from NCS.

«©NCSX» The beautiful seaside city of Minato-ku serves as the backdrop for the latest Persona adventure where players adopt the role of a transfer student who commutes daily from dormitory to school. To combat the threat, the protagonist teams up with fellow students including Yukari Takeba, Mitsuru Kirijo, and Junpei Iori who all have the power of Persona and the ability to battle the Shadows.

At the outset of the game, the player-named protagonist arrives at his dormitory and is greeted immediately by the winsome Yukari Takeba who approaches with a gun holstered to her thigh. She seems apprehensive but a redhead named Mitsuru Kirijo approaches from behind and reassures her that it's only the new transfer student. After greetings, Yukari takes the player to to his room which is at the end of the hallway on the second floor. The next morning, Yukari knocks on the door and protag's already all dressed up and ready to go. The two take a monorail over the sea to the Moonlight School where Yukari leaves him near the entrance amidst a row of lockers. After buying a drink, head off to the administrative office to register for school and eventual class...

Persona - New Import, In Stock

«©NCSX» When Atlus released the original Persona in 1996, the portable handheld of choice was the Gameboy. The very first Gameboy. It didn't have color nor a backlight but that didn't stop Nintendo's wunderkind from dominating the portable gaming landscape. It wasn't until 1998 that the Gameboy Color arrived on the scene. The GBC didn't have a backlight either.

Fast forward 13 years and technology has gotten to the point where games like Persona can now be played on portables such as the Playstation Portable. In living color and backlit to light up the night. Atlus upgrades the game with new cinemas, visual updates, brand new dungeon levels, and user-friendly options such as a quick save feature. A stylish new intro is also featured in the game which is replete with stark, dark imagery with a peppy background track sung by
Yumi Kawamura. The chipper song is designed to provide contrast against the morose visuals. Shoji Meguro provided director and composer services while Kazuma Kaneko served as art director.

The heroes of Persona are a group of high school students who all possess special abilities that allow them to utilize offensive magic. Battles are fought on an isometric platform with two sides arrayed against each other while melee attacks and magic blasts ripple through the ranks. The PSP update doesn't feature voice acting but the cast of characters do make yelping sounds and other utterances when fighting enemy agents.
The first production of the game will ship with a bonus Persona Soundtrack CD which was given away in 30% ratio from the publisher.

Persona 4 Konamistyle - New Import, Sold Out

NCS opened up preorders for the Konamistyle-exclusive edition of Persona 4 earlier this year which included the game and a Persona-themed T-shirt (in S-M-L-XL sizes). Konami didn't announce the third bonus item at that time. When we received the game yesterday, we discovered it was a nifty Kuma plush. In the Persona 4 game, Kuma waddles around and speaks with a barely intelligible voice. He's adorable. Preorders have shipped as of yesterday. If we're able to stock additional quantities in the next couple of week, we'll update accordingly. «Photo Gallery»

Persona 4 - New Import, Split Shipment

Garish yellow is the color theme for Atlus' latest MegaTen adjunct. The game introduction features a jazzy hook, yellow numbers, and backgrounds that are painted stark yellow. The hue that colors everything in the parallel dimension featured in Persona 4 is also... yellow.

As the story goes, an unnamed high school student moves to rural Japan to live with relatives while attending school. It's a quiet town but when bodies start turning up, the placid atmosphere is disrupted. A classmate named Chie Satonaka tells hero of the Midnight TV where inclement weather causes static and yellow-tinged images to appear on television. Once the clock strikes midnight, the tv becomes a portal which leads into a netherworld where shadowy creatures with masked faces dwell. Could the murders be somehow linked to the monsters?

Soejima Shigenori returns to provide character designs and art direction while Shogi Meguro serves up the music. The visuals of the game are crisp are the battle sequences are almost artistic. Endearing scenes in the game include one where the students sit around eating hunks of watermelon.

Persona 3: Mitsuru Kirijo 1/7 Figure

In the Persona 3 video game, a brunette named Yukari Takeba and a redhead named Mitsuru Kirijo are the first two characters that the protagonist encounters. Yukari's an attractive girl but Mitsuru is in a whole other league by herself.

Kotobukiya apparently agrees and produces a 1/7 scale Mitsuru Kirijo fixed-pose figure that's sculpted by
Kosuke Arai. The fiery-maned demon slayer wields a sword while a white holster is wrapped below her waist. Inside the holster is a gun which may be swapped with the sword. The Mitsuru figure measures 21cm (8.26") tall and a multi-function circular base is included for mounting, display purposes, and storing the accessories included in the package. Mitsuru wears a black skirt which may be doffed to reveal her lily-white dainties underneath. Preorders will ship today. New orders are welcome.

Persona 3 Fes Complete Edition

Fuka Yamagishi opens up the new storyline in Persona 3 Fes where she phones Yukari Takeba on her pink phone. At the conclusion of the call, Fuka walks further into the room where the camera peels back to take in the Special Extracurricular Activities Club at Gekko High School. Seated at the top is Student Council President Mitsuru Kirijou and she's ringed by Junpei Iori, Ken Amada, and Koromaru. As they chat, they're joined by Aegis - a blonde android who battles Shadows with adept skill. Aegis is the focal point in the new chapter of Persona 3 and players take control of her throughout the adventure.

Persona 3 Fes is both an old and a new game. It contains the entire original Persona 3 adventure along with an append segment which follows the events after the conclusion of Persona 3. In the title selection screen, the original adventure may be played by selecting "Episode Yourself" while the new segment is indicated by "Episode Aegis."
