«©NCSX» The white-haired demon Arawn, his blushing bride Riannon, and her brother Arthur from Tears to Tiara are back in a new adventure titled Tears to Tiara: Avalon no Nazo (The Secret of Avalon). The game starts in Avalon Castle where a strange occurrence sends Arawn and friends on a world spanning quest. A new character named Decimus joins the cast and he first made his appearance in the Tears to Tiara animated series. Decimus was a Imperial solider who fought with the Holy Empire commander named Gaius. Arthur killed Gaius in episode 18 of the series and Decimus eventually became a "good guy." A combat system dubbed the "Changeling System" allows for strategic considerations during battle by swapping party members. The PSP conversion of Tears to Tiara Gaiden will include a bonus game jacket set and a decal sheet in 100% ratio. Preorders welcome.

«©NCSX» "Boys Love" games aren't screaming up the sales charts but they have their loyal audiences. Sometimes all one can hope for is a successful niche in the wild, woolly, and fickle world of gaming. Togainu no Chi was originally released for the Japanese PC in 2005 and has garnered a devoted (mostly female) fan base over the past few years. The backdrop of the game is a dystopian Japan after the ravages of a third World War. The story follows the tribulations of a reluctant warrior named Akira who fights for his freedom in the Igura Tournament which is administered by a drug kingpin. Fighters in the Igura battle each other to the death and gather their opponents' dogtags as they move their way up to the final conflict against the kingpin of the Vischio mob.
The mature content in the PC original has been wiped from the console conversion of the game to make it somewhat family friendly. The characters in the game are invariably chiseled, dark, somber, and apparently appealing. The PSP version features a new character named Yukihito who's voice is provided by Hiroshi Kamiya, a new opening movie, exclusive CG events, new voice dubs, and updated music. Preorders for the Japanese PSP version of Togainu no Chi are welcome to ship on December 23, 2010.

«©NCSX» The latest Uchi No 3-Shimai game on the NDS (Yes, there have been previous releases) pushes the three round-eyed sisters of the animated series onto the karaoke stage. Publisher Culture Brain describes the game as a "Karaoke Party Game" where players are supposed to sing into the NDS mic while attempting to maintain some semblance of normal mental health.
The music list contains a total of 40 tracks with ample representation from the children's songs arena including "Time After Time" and the unforgettable "Bear in the Forest." Adults who have moved on from children's songs may sing to Sakamoto 冬美 "I'm in Love With You" and Thelma Aoyama's "You're Next." «©NCSX» Famitsu and Dengeki readers have been seeing previews of the third Parasite Eve game for a few weeks now and Square Enix officially started preorders a couple of days ago. In the game, players reprise the role of NYPD police detective Aya Brea who's faced with a new threat on the sanctity of Manhattan. Creatures called the "Twisted" have invaded and Aya and a newly formed investigative team dubbed the "CTI" are on the case to stem the threat. Square Enix has mentioned an "Overdive" system in the game where Aya can enter the body of a CTI member and go through the game within that member's skin.

«©NCSX» Released for Japanese PCs last month, Umineko no Naku Koro Ni is headed to the Playstation 3 this December. In the game, players take on the role of a lad named Battler Ushiromiya who finds himself trapped on an island named Rokkenjima with his relatives. As the story goes, Battler's wealthy grandfather Kinzo Ushiromiya is on his deathbed and the division of assets is to proceed after Kinzo's passing. While on the estate, Battler hears an old legend from his youth - that of a witch named Beatrice who resides on Rokkenjima who helped Kinzo start the Ushiromiya family empire and gave him much of his fortune. When a typhoon hits the island, the family members and servants are trapped but that's not too bad. That is, until people start dying and Battler finds himself in a battle of wits against the witch Beatrice. The Playstation 3 conversion of the game features the first four chapters of the series as follows: Legend of the Golden Witch, Turn of the Golden Witch, Banquet of the Golden Witch, and Alliance of the Golden Witch.
