«©NCSX» Our introduction to the term "Steampunk" came in a game titled Sakura Taisen back when the Sega Saturn was a market contender. "Steampunk" refers to a fictional reality where the use of steam as a source of energy is dominant. The mechs in Sakura Taisen were powered by steam and the world in Arms' Heart operates on steam. The publisher Hamster describes the game as a "Steampunk RPG" in their promotional material and Matsuzo Machida of Shadow Hearts fame is the director and scripter. Preorders are welcome to ship on November 11, 2010 at JPY4800 or US$53.90 from NCS.

The second game in this high-flying, fast hitting, and intense versus battles series, Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 promises over 90 characters from the massively popular anime franchise. «©NCSX» In the Oboro Muramasa game, a kunoichi named Momohime and a ninja named Kisuke were the agents of destruction in a side scrolling platform action game. Momohime had style, speed, and deft sword handling skills which she used to chop down flighty ninja foes. Kisuke was cool too but Momohime cut a more presentable silhouette.
Alter pays homage to Momohime with a pretty 1/6 scale figure which measures 21cm or 8.26" tall. Momo's color scheme mixes pink and blue with two stalks of fuchsia which cover her lower legs. We're somewhat leery of the one-foot-pose because some of our Alter figures on display have a tendency to lean and falter to the effects of gravity. To prevent leaning, our Momohime figure might be supported by clear-plastic braces if we decide to display her on office shelving. All preorders have shipped yesterday at JPY7800 or US$88.90 from NCS. Restock is expected within 2 weeks.

«©NCSX» The peoples of Earth are still in a child-like state when viewed from the lofty perch of the Galactic Federation. In order to observe the follies and foibles of humanity at close-range, an emissary is sent to live amongst everyday citizens and intervene when necessary. In the case of Onegai Teacher, that emissary is named Mizuho Kazami who's not only a ginger but curvaceous and buxom to boot.
A few recent toy incarnations of Mizuho Kazami have allowed the half-alien hybrid to let her hair down but in the upcoming FREEing version of Mizuho, she reverts to her schoolmarm persona. The kind that bunches her hair up, wears a prim white blouse (which is strategically unbuttoned), and handles a pointer. Mizuho also wears fishnet stockings and crosses her legs in a compelling manner while seated upon a student's desk. Miz is sculpted to 1/4 scale and measures 40cm tall.

«©NCSX» Brook was originally from the "Rumba Pirates Musical Group" but joins Luffy and company to become the eighth member of the Straw Hat Pirates. Brook's special vocation is music and entertains his fellow shipmates with gracious melodies.
The "Strong Edition" version of Brook depicts the skeletal musician in his natty black duds while holding his cane/weapon which he has detached. Maybe he's preparing for battle. A musket is slung across his back and Brook completes the ensemble with a top hat. A special feature that's built into the figure is Brook's hinged head which may be opened on the side. «©NCSX» Sanji is a skilled fighter but that's not all. He's also an excellent cook (much to Luffy's delight) and can whip up a tasty meal at a moment's notice. Before joining the Straw Hat Pirates, Sanji worked on a floating restaurant called the Baratie which was established by his mentor Red Leg Zeff. Whenever pirates are lost and chance upon the Baratie, they can climb aboard for a meal and perhaps a respite from the rigors of the sea. Sanji made an appearance in the first Portrait of Pirates Series 2 along with Usopp and Nico Robin. The Strong Edition version of Sanji depicts Sanji as a cool cat who wears a blue shirt with white polka dots, a lean jacket, and shiny pants.
