(株)Genterprise adapts the Skip Beat manga for the Playstation 2 with an interactive adventure game which features an original scenario that was written especially for the game. Two new characters who were not in the animated series also appear in the adventure. The voice actors from the television serial were also hired to provide the voices in the game.

The limited edition of Skip Beat includes an Original Soundtrack CD and an Original Strap which are only available in this bundle. The two items won't be sold in any other capacity in the Japanese marketplace.

In Konami's twist on the Tokimeki franchise, you play a female high school student who enters a private high school for a three year stint. In that time, she uses charm, guile, and good clothes to catch a man and perhaps find love. Clothing plays an important factor in the game since it helps attract the opposite sex. Sort of like how a bird's bright plumage helps it attract a mate. Preorders are welcome to ship on March 12, 2009 at JPY5250 or US$53.90 from NCS. Konami will give away a bonus Tokimeki Deluxe CD with early preorders of the game in an undetermined ratio.

«©NCSX» The Prince of Tennis (TenPuri) universe contains a large cast of characters who play tennis. This specialized population of tennis players is conducive to interactive dating games. Konami's next TenPuri Nintendo DS release combines tennis and character communication to create an interactive game that is targeted at girl gamers.

In Tennis no Ojisama Doubles (Girls, Be Gracious), a female high school tennis player encounters a number of characters such as Ryoma Echizen, Tezuka Kunimitsu, Oishi Shuichiro, and other members of the Seishun Academy team as well as players from other schools. In addition to Girls, Be Gracious, Konami will also release a version of the game (Boys, be Glorious) where the protagonist is the female player's brother who's also in high school and plays tennis. Preorders ship on March 5, 2K9.

Takuyo originally released Panic Palette on the Playstation 2 in May of 2007 and the game was targeted squarely at girl gamers. The Playstation Portable upgrade features additional scenarios that were not in the Playstation original. It's still targeted at a female audience.

Aki Itou is a pink-haired 15 year old high school student who lives by herself in a drab apartment. One day, Aki is headed home and walking along the beach when she bumps into a mysterious stranger. He's dressed like an Arabian prince of some sort with robes, a turban, and strangely feminine facial features. The Prince tells Aki that he hails from another world known as Merdicia and asks for her hand in marriage. She refuses but the Prince needs an assistant so he can return to his own world. To that end, Aki agrees to help the Prince gather up aura power by interacting and conversing with her fellow students at school. The Prince gives her a strange contraption to fulfill her mission. There are five types of aura that can be collected as follows:

Happiness / Sadness / Anger / Thoughtfulness / Fear

Each type of aura is represented by a colored sphere which features a facial expression. By collecting enough aura, Aki can help the Prince go home and she can stay single. The cast in the game is made up mostly of boys such as Kazuto, Norihisa, and the resident badass Shirahara.

A few years ago, Konami and other publishers woke up and realized that girl gamers needed love too. For years, interactive dating games were designed solely for a male audience where virtual romance was in full bloom. Konami broke the convention however with Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side and other publishers soon followed suit.

Idea Factory takes a breather from the super-serious Spectral Force franchise by releasing Poi! Hito Natsu no Keiken. As you may have surmised, it's a dating game designed for girl gamers who'll get to interact with two girlfriends and five boys who sort of look like girls. All of the guys in the game have feathered hair and are lanky which means they've been cut from the same ideal template. The protagonist of the game is a ninth-grader who plays basketball and spends the summer interacting with friends and perhaps gets a chance to confess her love to someone. The game system focuses on natural conversations with the cast in the game which lead to choices that affect the course of the storyline. All orders will include a bonus Drama CD which contains a short episode featuring the voice actors from the game.
