NCS Product Synopsis
Release Date: December 5, 2002«©NCSX» A well-honed 2-D fighting game which features the characters from popular anime Inuyasha. Half human-demon Inuyasha fights with a massive blade and looks somewhat comical with bulbous pantaloons while Kagome battles with a bow and arrow. She also wears her trademark schoolgirl outfit in battle. Spot animations are sparse but the fighters animate smoothly and the game is reminiscent of early Samurai Shodown without the zooming camera and rage meter.
Special attacks may be unleashed with standard semi-circle + push button moves which are accompanied by cinematic animations lasting anywhere from 3 to 5 seconds. Players may choose a 1-player battle and fight the entire cast of characters or opt for the 2-on-2 tag battle where raging partners take on all comers. A natural choice for Inuyasha fans, the gameplay nevertheless stands up to scrutiny on its own.
The first production limited edition of Inuyasha SOK includes the game, a fanbook and a special limited edition trading card which are all packed in a cardboard box.
