TOYS Tales of Abyss X Tales of Vesperia X Tales of Xillia 2 Chibi-kun Chara - Import Preorder

NCS Product Synopsis

Reservations are welcome for Banpresto's 'Tales of Abyss X Tales of Vesperia X Tales of Xillia 2 Chibi-kun chara' toy figures which are being distributed exclusively to amusement centers in Japan as limited edition premium prizes. The characters in the set are:

 (A)
Yuri Lowell from Tales of Vesperia
 (B) Luke fon Fabre from Tales of the Abyss

 (C) Elle Mel Mata from Tales of Xillia 2

Each figure measures 6cm or 2.36" tall from the display base to the top of each character's head. The toy distributor soliciting preorders states that they may cancel our order in the event that Banpresto isn't able to fill the quantities that we're requesting but that seems to be uncommon. We've only had that happen with shop-specific toys so we're confident we'll be able to get what we need. Preorders are expected to ship in late May 2013 and NCS is bundling all three figures together for a complete set.

Wii Tales of Graces - Import Preorder

NCS Preorder Synopsis
«©NCSX» Three disparate kingdoms rule the world of Efinea - Fendel, Strata, and Windol - all of which vie for supremacy over the other. In the land of Windol sits a city named Lhant which is governed by a lord named Aston Lhant. Aston's first-born is a lad named Asbel who goes off to become a knight but upon his father's death, returns home to rule the principality. Namco's latest Tales game follows the story of Asbel and a girl named Sophie who helps him fend off an attack perpetrated by troops from Fendel. The mysterious Sophie suffers from amnesia which is a regularly used plot device in Japanese video games since it adds intrigue to the character.

Tales of Graces features the "Style Shift Linear Motion Battle System" which is just a convoluted way of saying "Slashing with two attack styles"
where Asbel and company can switch between two types of combat skills. Namco touts Nintendo DS linkage where mini-games may be downloaded from the Tales software for portable play.

Early preorders will ship with a bonus Tales of Graces Special DVD and a Costume DLC card in 50% ratio. The 50% ratio means that Namco will give away one set of bonuses for every 2 copies of the game.

The fighting takes place on a 2D plane but special attacks will cause the screen to contort into a 3D perspective for nifty visual theatrics. The default game mode is called "Yggdrasil Mode" where each character goes through a brand new story where he/she meets up with various adversaries and battles them in one-on-one battles. The "Multiplayer Mode" allows up to four players to engage each other wirelessly in a PSP battle royale and the "2D Battle Mode" features super-deformed renditions of the characters in a simplified fighting game.

Tales of Vesperia - New Import, In Stock

The Tales games from Namco have enjoyed stellar sales over the years and over 10 million copies have made their ways into the eager hands of couch-based-adventurers. The tenth Tales game ships this summer and it's an Xbox 360 exclusive.

An androgynous hero named Yuri Lowell serves as the protagonist who teams up with a assortment of fellow travelers including a pink-maned girl named Estellise, a boy named Karol, a knight who goes by the name Flynn Scifo, and a pipe-clenching pooch named Rapido. The battle system in Vesperia is dubbed the "
Evolved Flex-Range Linear Motion Battle System" which is just a convoluted way of saying "3D slashing." When the screen cracks and an encounter starts, players have full control of Yuri while the computer controls the other party members. Listen carefully to Rapido's utterances when he attacks - he sounds like Scooby Doo trying to snarl. After each battle, the heroes stand around with triumphant poses while the camera slowly pans across the screen.

Early preorders for Tales of Vesperia will include a bonus Special DVD courtesy of Namco which was given out in 50% ratio.

Tales of Rebirth + Preorder Bonus - New Import, In Stock

In the land of Karegia, Humans and Beastmen live in harmony. As the story opens up, King Ladras Lindblum is lying on his royal bed when he turns to stare at the sun. In his mind's eye, it's a melting sun which reveals a planetoid underneath. Later that night, Ladras is using his inner Force when something goes awry and blows him backwards. Two handlers named Milhaust and Eugene witness the event and cry out for his majesty. Outside, the kingdom is under siege by scattered streams of Force that shatters windows, immolates some people and electrifies others. A speeding train is derailed and calamity is in the air. Inside the home of Veigue and Claire, the Force is also strong and Veigue finds his right arm under attack. As he writhes in pain, he sees something happen to Claire that makes him scream.
One year later, Veigue sits in a house full of ice shards and Claire is encased in a column of frost when two travelers enter...

Tales of Rebirth was originally released on the Playstation 2 in 2004 and Namco revives the game on the PSP. New features include:

» Illustration Gallery - Unlock and view artwork featured in the game.
» Exclusive event scenes that were created for the PSP port.
» Character voice chat system where heroes speak to each other and reveal information and back story that might not be obvious.

Tales of Fandom 2: Luke fon Fabre

The original Tales of Fandom discs were released in early 2002 and featured characters from Namco's Tales of Phantasia, Tales of Destiny, and Tales of Eternity. Per the game title, the content was designed to appeal to fans of the Tales releases with an interaction game, a puzzle game, character skits, and a gallery of images.
Fast forward five years later and Namco issues another Tales of Fandom which features core casts of characters from Tales of Phantasia, Tales of Symphonia, and Tales of Abyss. Unlike the first Fandom which allowed the different games to be chosen from a menu, Fandom 2 takes an interactive approach where the games and interaction sequences are selectable from a world map. At the outset of the game, the parties from all three Tales games have been transported to a central location where they're holed up in their respective bastions. Players move a cursor around the world map to select the different adventures as well as a casino located to the north which features Black Jack, Poker, Baccarat, and Slots. A purse of 1000 credits starts the player off but note that playing Baccarat requires an ante of 1000 credits. Lose once and you're wiped out. To bolster the fan service, copious amounts of voice acting are featured in the game. «more»
