   "The Kessen series' rise to prominence coincided with the launch of the PlayStation 2, and with its sequel the games quickly established themselves into a franchise that would have a place of distinction in video game history.    KESSEN III is the first sequel to the series in almost four years and will be notable for several sweeping changes to the widely respected franchise. The series' Crowd Engine that was used in the original Kessen has been completely rebuilt to deliver the most exciting battle scenes and action-oriented gameplay in the series- all in full 3D. Unlike any of the previous Kessen games in the series, players will have direct real-time control of troop movements, offensives, and defensive maneuvers. Moreover, allied units can join the player-controlled unit to create combination attacks.

   KESSEN III now features non-linear stage selection, an officer and troop development system, and a process that allows players to equip officers with over 450 weapons, helmets, and samurai armor. The game's deep and compelling narrative will unfold throughout 120 combined minutes of movie sequences, accompanied by a stirring musical score from legendary composer Reijiro Koroku.

The new sequel also marks the franchise's return to Japanese history and aesthetics. It is the middle of the turbulent Sengoku or "warring states" period. Endless chaos and plunder have consumed the islands of Japan . A young teenager, known for his extravagant appearance and unconventional attitude emerges from Central Japan- he is Nobunaga Oda. While elders admonished him, his contemporaries admired him. Blessed with an indomitable vision and fearless constitution, the soon-to-be legendary Nobunaga will stand against legions of warriors in order to resurrect a land filled with chaos and sorrow.

«©NCSX» Set squarely in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms (A.D. 220-280) world, the second Kessen focuses on the war between Liu Bei, founder of the Shu kingdom and Cao Cao, who leads the Wei empire. They're both on the game cover, along with the bewitching Diao Chan who is cast in the screenplay as Liu Bei's lover in this game. Scholars of the ROTK narrative may be offended by this relationship, which taints the ROTK tale, but they ain't seen nothin' yet.

 

   Similar to the first Kessen, armies of soldiers led by generals clash on battlefields to decide supremacy of one side over the other. Koei warps into a distorted fantasy version of "Romance" by introducing caricatures of generals who bear the names of historical figures but are empowered with elemental force. The great statesman and military strategist Zhuge Liang, for example, wields magical powers and uses them in campaigns against Cao Cao's forces. Liang was also known as "Hidden Dragon". The use of supernatural attacks tilt the tide of battle since legions of armies may be taken out by the summoning of a twister.

 

   Historical inaccuracies and hyper-physical manifestations aside, Kessen 2 reacts to a changing landscape by adding over the top visuals, massive "clear the field" attacks, and some semblance to a classic Chinese novel to spice up the tactical strategy genre.

Shin Sangoku Musou 5 Empires - New Import, In Stock

«©NCSX» Warring States are in play once again in Koei's new Shin Sangoku Musou 5 Empires which features 3D warfare where a single general basically acts as a one man army. The Empire Mode of the game features tactical action where players make decisions as to the stewardship of a territory in Ancient China. Players may choose to become a lord, an officer General, or take on both roles. By establishing diplomatic relations with neighbors while waging war against others, a wise ruler eventually gets to elevate his station and gain reign over the entirety of the nation. The game introduces a new card system where a ruler's control over his empire may be handled by using simple cards to make decisions and set policy.

SSM5 Empires brings back the Edit Mode which allows up to 100 characters to be created from pre-fabricated archetypes which you may then customize with colors, hair, body type, facial structure, clothing, glasses, eyepatches, and more. «©NCSX» Six months after the events of the first Kiniro no Corda game, Kahoko Hino reprises her role as the heroine of another interactive romance game. The setting is Seisou High School where Kahoko organizes a musical ensemble to participate in a concert. Since she's the leader of the group, Kahoko has to prepare for new performances, decide the number of songs to play in each concert, arrange practice sessions, and configure the instruments for each song. In addition to her activities with the ensemble, Kahoko also engages in school activities, participates in festivals, and interacts with fellow students in class and during lunch.

Dynasty Warriors 6 Mini Figure Vol.1 - New, In Stock

«©NCSX» The heroes of Dynasty Warriors are generally tall, lanky, and well proportioned specimens of the human species. That all changes with CafeReo's new Dynasty Warriors 6 Eiketsu Mini-Figures which feature twelve super-deformed generals and heroes from the popular game. Although the warriors from Koei's game have been shrunken, they still bear their distinct likenesses which make them easy to spot and discern from one another.

Each figure measures a mere 5cm or 1.96" in height and sports a larger than normal noggin. A circular disc is included with each figure for display purposes. Many of the Sangoku Musou munchkins wield weapons per their normal operating procedures on the battlefield. For example, Cao Cao carries a sword with a golden handle which matches the purple, black, and gold regalia that he's decked out in. Cao Cao also wears a golden crown as befits the progenitor of the Wei Empire. The bald-headed Dian Wei carries a ball and chain while Zhang Liao hefts two weapons in each hand for double the damage. Shin Sangoku Musou 5 will deliver the massive scale and realistic atmosphere that players have come to expect from the series, but will redefine the Shin Sangoku Musou Tactical Action experience. With a new fighting system and entirely new actions and motions, players can string together fighting moves and experience gameplay that closely resembles the action of a kung-fu movie. These changes The new combo system, tentatively called the "Renbu" system, requires specific button presses to unleash a variety of dazzling moves that will mimic the fighting movements seen in a Chinese martial arts movies.
