TOYS BlazBlue CS: Makoto Nanaya 1/7 Scale - Import Preorder

NCS Product Synopsi
«©NCSX» In the BlazBlue Continuum Shift fighting game, Makoto Nanaya is a human-squirrel hybrid called a Beastkin who has cat-like eats, big eyes, and a bushy tail which curls behind her. Her tail is so thick that it may be compared to a very large and thick bratwurst if it was doubled over. If the sight of her tail was disconcerting in the BlazBlue game, it's also disconcerting when viewed in the upcoming Makoto Nanaya figure.

Japanese toy manufacturer FREEing presents their rendition of Makoto in its bare-bellied, large tailed glory. She's carrying a pair of specialized crosshair tonfas that are spiked for added damage when walloping her opponents. The fixed-pose figure is sculpted to 1/7 scale and measures 22cm tall. Reservations are welcome to ship in late October 2011 at JPY8800 or US$129.90 from NCS.

TOYS BlazBlue: Rachel Alucard 1/6 Scale Figure - Preorder

From the Manufacturer

The conceited, egotistical vampire.

From the 2D fighting game "BlazBlue" comes a 1/6th scale PVC figure of the head of the noble Alucard family, Rachel Alucard. She has been sculpted preforming her Drive attack, 'Silpheed', which causes her trademark twin-tail hair and frilly goth-loli dress to blow upwards in the wind. Her black cat umbrella "Nago" as well as her red bat "Gii" are also both included!

The Rachel Alucard figure measures 34cm or 13.38" tall and the figure is sculpted to 1/6 scale. Preorders are welcome to ship in May 2011 at JPY12191 or US$179.90 from NCS.
Due to the size of the figure, NCS recommends only shipping by UPS Ground within the United States to avoid air service shipping charges.

PSP BlazBlue Portable - New Import, In Stock

NCS Product Synopsis
«©NCSX» Join Ragna the Bloodedge, Jin Kisaragi, and Noel Vermillion as they face off against a motley assortment of fighters who seem oddly familiar. If you look at the design for Iron Tagar, he looks awfully like Potemkin from Guilty Gear X while Bang Shishigami is sorta like Sol-Badguy. If we squint, Haku=Men could be mistaken for Justice. The character similarities shouldn't be much of surprise however since BlazBlue is the successor to the Guilty Gear X franchise from ArcSys. Toshimichi Mori is the lead designer for BlazBlue and 12 fighters are featured in the game who fight on sharp and brilliantly colored 2D stages. The presentation hearkens back to Arc System's GGX series with bright visual polish, snappy animation, bold voices, and feverish action that's executed with nary a hiccup.

The PS3 and X360 versions of BlazBlue were released last this summer and the PSP conversion ships this week in Japan. New features include updated skills for all 12 fighters and a special "Legion Mode" where a hero leads forces against enemy contingents. An ad hoc linkage facility allows up to four players to hook up and participate in 1-on-1 bouts.

Bonus Schwag
Early reservations will include a bonus Soundtrack CD which is being given away in 50% ratio by Arc System Works. If we're able to locate any surplus CD inventory in the Japanese aftermarket within the next few days, we'll ship the bonus at no cost to customers who didn't receive it with their orders that are shipping today.

BlazBlue Regular Edition - Expected Later Today

NCS Product Synopsis
«©NCSX» The young'uns of today got it good. They don't know how good they got it. Back when we was kids, we had to walk 10 miles to school, eat hamburgers on plain Wonder Bread, rewind video tapes, and play Street Fighter II on a 16-bit Super Famicom. That was the Dark Ages when Japanese import games cost $160. Each.

Yep, the kids of today got it good. So good that they get to play arcade perfect conversions like BlazBlue for the measly fee of $60. The BlazBlue Taito Type X2 arcade kit was tempting when it dropped to US$2000 but $60? That's like manna from heaven. Don't even get me started on the home conversion perfection that is Death Smiles.

NCS originally stocked the first print limited edition of BlazBlue earlier this month but the regular edition (sans bonuses) has shipped from the publisher and is expected later this afternoon. New orders are welcome.

BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger - New Import, In Stock

«©NCSX» BlazBlue is a recent coin-op release which wings its way to the Japanese Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 this week. The original game was built on Taito Type-X2 hardware and featured the use of four buttons to pound out attacks. Three buttons are used for weak, medium, and strong attacks along with a fourth "Drive" button which pulses out a super attack.

Join fighters named Ragna the Bloodedge, Jin Kisaragi, and Noel Vermillion as they face off against a motley assortment of fighters who seem oddly familiar. BlazBlue Fighting Stick - Import Preorder

«©NCSX» Hori has announced preorders for two Arcade Sticks which are being released for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 to coincide with the debut of Arc System's BlazBlue game. A note from our vendor indicates that the PS3 stick is an update of the Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 but we're not sure what that means exactly. The form factor looks like an HRAP3 but we'll update again once we have more information. Both joysticks will feature BlazBlue artwork on top of the controller and will feature a standard button layout as follows:

PS3 button configuration - 2 rows of 4 buttons each
360 button configuration - 2 rows of 3 buttons each

The arcade version of BlazBlue (TTX² Viewlix cab) features a 7-button array but the game only uses the first three buttons on the top row for attacks and the first button on the bottom row is for the "Drive" attack. We're assuming the default button configuration will be the same for the home conversion of the game but the buttons will likely be customizable. Preorders for both versions of the joystick are welcome to ship on June 25, 2009 at JPY9334 (US$139.90) for the Playstation 3 version and JPY7600 (US$99.90) for the Xbox 360 stick. Please note that NCS' pricing reflects overnight shipping costs for the joysticks from Japan so they'll be ready to ship on June 25.
