«©NCSX» In the first episode of the Mizugi Kanojo animated series, viewers are introduced to a character named Mizuho and her boyfriend Hiro. While in bed together, Hiro grabs a chunk of Mizuho's bulging belly and insinuates that she's getting fat. He suggests that she do a little exercise at the pool where he works. While at the pool, Hiro plays the part of swimming tutor and in the middle of the lesson, Hiro gets overly excited and decides to take things into his own hands. Literally. The upcoming Mizuho figure from manufacturer Beat places Mizuho on top of an inflatable crocodile and she's in a sheer blue swimsuit like the one she wears in the Mizugi episode. It's so sheer that anyone in the local vicinity can glance in Miz's direction and see everything. Repeat: Everything. «©NCSX» In the Black Lagoon serial, Revy Mizugi is a member of Lagoon Company which smuggles contraband and performs mercenary work for private parties. Revy is the muscle for the outfit and she's always packing heat - even when she's in a pink two-piece bikini and obvious threats are at least a continent away. Maybe she's leery of an ominous fiddler crab that's sharing the beach with her. It's been giving her the evil eye.
New Line's upcoming Revy Swimsuit Figure is sculpted to 1/6 scale and measures 26cm in height. Since Revy is probably near the ocean when she's in bikini mode, she carries an APS Underwater Assault Rifle in case the aforementioned fiddler crab makes a move. A blade is strapped to her left arm and her trademark tattoo may be viewed over her right shoulder and back. Preorders are welcome to ship in mid-late July 2010.

«©NCSX» Wave has already released their Kujikawa Rise figure but Alter one-ups them with a new Kujikawa figure that's in direct contrast to Wave's dark-garbed rendition. Alter's version of Rise is as bright as the beach under a noontime sun where the idol wears a two-piece "Persona 4" bikini that's colored yellow and orange. If you look closely at the right cup of the bikini top, the URL for the Persona 4 website may be viewed.
The Kujikawa figure is sculpted to 1/8 scale and measures 22cm or 8.66" tall. A pair of matching strappy sandals may be seen on Rise's feet and her hair appears to be shabby. The wind rolling in from the ocean tends to be strong and will dishevel even well-coiffed idols. Accessories included with the Kujikawa figure include a pair of beach glasses that may be mounted on her face and a cell phone attached to a miniature Kuma strap that may be gripped by Kujikawa's right hand. «©NCSX» Early in Kanu Unchou's career, she only took serious roles. Kanu was a fighter extraordinaire who battled opponents with a mighty spear. Sure, her clothing occasionally burst into shreds but she was a professional through and through. A professional who followed the script and stayed true to her warrior's heart/soul/virtue/whatever.
Recently, Kanu's been getting into sexploitation. That's where she gets into lewd poses that are conducive to ogling. The upcoming Kanu Unchou Swimsuit 2 Resin Cast figure from Musashiya fits the bill where Kanu is in an uncomfortable pose. Both legs are perpendicular to the floor and only slim wisps of clothing are bound to Kanu's bosom and bottom. Preorders are welcome to ship in September 2009 at JPY13800 or US$168.90 from NCS. «©NCSX» In Namco's Xenosaga III game, KOS-MOS is a powerful android who can manifest high energy weapons by using futuristic nanotechnology. She's special that way. In addition to being a versatile warrior, KOS-MOS is gifted with a body that appears womanly even though she's really just a machine.
Toy sculptors have created numerous versions of KOS-MOS through the years but most of them have featured "her" in regulation-issue battle armor. Japanese manufacturer Alter has crafted two previous versions of KOS-MOS and the company gets back into the game with a third iteration of KOS that's scheduled to ship in January 2009. The new figure loses the battle armor and is adorned with frilly blue coverings that apparently comprise a swimsuit of the future. We found it amusing the KOS-MOS also wears matching high-heel pumps. Kanu Unchou is very desirable. We know this because toy manufacturers have announced and/or shipped nearly 15 figures featuring the raven-haired warrior since the beginning of 2008. Is it overkill? Yes, but if the market can continue absorb all that Kanu, there's the likelihood that even more of Miss Unchou is on the way later this year.
