«©NCSX» There's a codger in our building who's knowledgeable about the principles of feng-shui. Occasionally, we'll ask for his opinion on some of the products that we peddle. For example, the codger disapproved of the Horror Summer Vibrating Pen from a few years ago but we imported them anyway. This morning, he also frowned on the Genso Kensho Suspense Mascots because according to him, "A toy that's a representation of a chalk outline from a fatal crime scene isn't exactly auspicious."

Epoch's "suspense" toy is not properly named. There's no suspense in chalk outlines. There might've been suspense and drama prior to the sketching of the chalk outline... but none in the outline itself. In any case, six styles are on offer including one that appears to be of a person who has fallen from a building. Yet another one appears to depict someone who died while dancing. We appreciate Epoch's photos of "dead" people in their preorder solicitation sheet since they get the point of the outlines across. Preorders for the set of toys are welcome to ship in late September 2010.

Merchandising comes quickly in Japan and toy figures and trinkets bearing the likeness of the idols have been selling reasonably well. The latest product to take advantage of Idolmaster's good name is Good Smile Company's Petit Idolmaster Stage 01 Charms which are made of rubber and depict an idol in a super-deformed artistic rendering. Since Hello Kitty is so versatile , she's apparently also compatible with Japanese silver screen monsters and Bandai's third series of Narikiri Hello Kitty Collection toys feature Kitty in a stubby Godzilla costume as well as a King Ghidorah incarnation with three heads. Each figure measures 3cm or in height and is attached to a little metal keychain. The set contains six different figures and NCS will gather them all together in a complete set of gashapon toys. Square Enix has started preorders for a Dissidia Final Fantasy Strap which features a diecast metal plate that's been engraved with the Dissidia logo. Below the logo are the Roman numerals I through X which represent the ten canonical Final Fantasy games that have been released in the past couple of decades. Bomberman Bakudan Strap

Bomberman has long toiled under Hudson's yoke, appearing in numerous maze-bombing games and other video gaming adjuncts of the original franchise. It all started in 1985 when Hudson introduced gamers to a bomb laying warrior who planted explosives to derail maze-roaming creatures in hot pursuit. From those humble beginnings, Hudson built an enduring franchise which has since branched off into Bomberman racing, mini-game collections, tactical strategy, and adventuring.
