NCS Product Synopsis
«©NCSX» In the introductory sequence for New Super Mario Bros Wii, the gang is celebrating Princess Peach's birthday when a big cake slides into view. Peach approaches but is surprised by a gang of malcontents who pop out of the Trojan cake commando-style, carry it over Peach's dainty person, and kidnap her whilst Mario, Luigi, and two Mr Toads are dazed. During the intro sequence and over the course of the first few stages of the game, all manner of sound effects may be heard including Propeller Mario's whirring, coins being collected, and Luigi's high-pitched squeaks. These sound effects and five more are collected in Bandai's upcoming New Super Mario Brothers Wii Sound Drop Compact set which is a collection of little teardrop-shaped toys which hold sound effects within their plastic bodies. Each Sound Drop is fitted with a button which may be depressed to induce the toy to make noise. Over the years, NCS has discovered that a Sound Drop can be used in various social situations for both good and evil. Preorders are welcome to ship in mid-late December 2010 at JPY2400 or US$32.90 for the complete set of 8 New SMB Sound Drops.
The shrill sound effects and jingling chimes of Super Mario Galaxy are captured in Bandai's Sound Drop toys dedicated to the relatively recent Wii game. A total of eight different Sound Drops are featured in the set which emit a sonorous sound effect when pressed. Push all eight in sequence and you might compose a sweet Mario Galaxy symphony.
