NCS Preorder Synopsis
«©NCSX» The jar-headed detective named Saburo Jinguuji (aka Jake Hunter to us Yanks) applies his sleuthing skills to 12 new cases which test the boundaries of his wits, mental mettle, and overall perspicacity. The core case revolves around a series of political bombings that occurred 20 years ago and current bombings that are targeting lawmakers. Saburo is charged with the task of uncovering the identify of a terrorist named "Red Butterfly" who claims responsibility for the carnage.
The upcoming Tantei Jinguuji Saburo DS: Akai Cho for the Nintendo DS follows the design conventions of previous games on the portable - stylus based detective work and static illustrations which relay the storyline. Saburo's work takes him to the streets where he ferrets out clues and searches prime locations for evidence. Cinematic interludes are interspersed in the humdrum of virtual sleuthing to break up the monotony of being a private dick. The other cases featured in the game include "The Future of Camilla," "Curse of the Chain," and "Portrait of Dead Child." Preorders are welcome to ship on September 30, 2010 at JPY3800 or US$49.90 from NCS.
