PSP Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A's Portable: The Battle of Aces

NCS Product Synopsis
«©NCSX» In the original Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha animated series, Nanoha Takamachi and Fate Testarossa were feuding magic users vying for magical objects called Jewel Seeds. Nanoha was good and while Fate wasn't bad, she was compelled to be "bad" by her mother Precia Testarossa. In the second series titled Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's, Fate and Nanoha have settled their differences but things aren't hunky dory. The two magical girls encounter a quartet of Belkan Knights known as the "Wolkenritter" (Names: Shamal, Signum, Vita, and Zafira) who are hell-bent on robbing the magical mojo from other magic users. Their goal is to complete the pages of the Book of Darkness so a wheelchair-bound girl Hayate Yagami can survive and be granted one wish. The PSP game "Battle of Aces" is based on the second series of the Mahou Shoujo Lyrical animation.

In the Battle of Aces game, Nanoha and cohorts face off against each other in a 3D fighting game where melee attacks, magic blasts and combos light up the screen. The cast of nine fighters is made up of Nanoha, Fate, Shamal, Signum, Vita, Zafira, Chrono, Hayate, and Reinforce. In the Single Mode, two fighters battle inside a ring of sorts which limits movement range of the combatants so that an opponent can't fly off into the distance. Before each battle, the fighters may be customized with 18 possible options such as "MP Guard," "Drive EX C," "Cross Range POW," and "Shield Breaker." The Ad Hoc Mode allows two players to fight it out wirelessly and the Gallery Mode contains a selection of CG and 3D character models to peruse.

Yagami Hayate Knight Armor figma - Import Preorder

«©NCSX» When NCS first encountered Yagami Hayate in the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's animation from 2005, we thought she borrowed some traits from Sakura Kinomoto - Mistress of the Clow. Sure, Sakura's a smaller girl but they both wear big hats, carry strange scepters, and use magic. They're both popular with fans as well. Amid much anticipation in Japan, preorders were started for the Yagami Hayate Knight Armor figma figure a couple of days ago with vendors warning that there might be shortages. That's usually just a ploy to get us to submit reservations early and order more than we really need...

The Yagami Hayate figma measures 13.5cm or 5.31" in height and features the magic user in her cleric-like outfit from Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha S. She carries the Schwerkruez staff as well as the Book of Darkness. Preorders are welcome to ship is mid-late January 2009 at JPY2800 or US$32.90 from NCS.
