«©NCSX» In the original Nine-Nine Nights, a single warrior went to town on entire battalions of enemy soldiers and mowed them down with conspicuous ease. Based on the previews of Ninety-Nine Nights 2, the game is more of the same where a super-warrior kills not only one or two squads of troops but thousands upon thousands of them. Usually within the span of a few minutes.
In the world of N3, the lands of the elves, goblins, humans, and ogres have been beset by a dark army led by the "King of Night." The King and his hordes ravage the world for ninety-two days but a hero emerges to meet the dark armies and their King. Such a hero must wield two swords, wear a constant scowl on his face, and have slashing skills that would even put the scare in Chuck Norris.
Konami touts 100 types of skills that may be used in N3II which allow for a variety of killing moves and tactics. One wouldn't want to kill enemy soldiers just by way of rote hacking and slashing - a hero needs a bunch of different ways to eviscerate the opposition.
Preorders are welcome to ship on July 22, 2010 at JPY6800 or US$69.90 from NCS. The original N3 included a bonus flick-action keychain as a preorder incentive but sadly no such incentive is listed for N3II.

«©NCSX» Turtles are probably immortal. Along with anecdotal evidence from our forebears in the Far East and this NYT article, NCS has owned a bunch of turtles in the States for nearly 3 decades now. They're still as lively and boisterous (especially around lunch time and dinner time) as ever and they'll likely outlive us by at least a century.

Turtle toys aren't too common in Japan but we generally grab a few factory cases whenever they're released just for our own pleasure. Japanese manufacturer Kitan Club has announced a set of Water Turtle Strap X Magnet gashapon which feature red-eared sliders and albino sliders. Some of the rascals are hiding in their shells while others are walking towards some unseen destination. A strap is tethered to each turtle and a magnet allows for adhesion to metallic surfaces. Preorders are welcome to ship in mid-late August 2010 at US$15.90 per set of five.

«©NCSX» In the Evangelion animated series, Rei Ayanami, Asuka Langley, and fellow female students go to Tokyo-3 First Municipal Middle School in blue and white school uniforms that have youthful appeal. The dress is mid-length so that the hem reaches the girls' knees and the white blouse is somewhat sporty with short sleeves and a crisp shape. To accessorize the uniform, a nifty red bow is mounted directly below the collar. Cospa's upcoming Evangelion Trantrip School Uniform includes all of the items mentioned above and they also throw in a pair of tube socks to complete the ensemble.
