«©NCSX» Starting this year, Konami's Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu game series graduates from the Playstation 2 to the Playstation 3. The PS2 had a great run but all console generations must die eventually and give way to new turks. The PS3 will serve as the default big-console-platform for future Pro Yakyu games.

The 2010 edition of Jikkyou Powerful Pro for the PSP features all 12 Japanese professional teams and their respective stadiums in which they'll play. The usual game modes return including "Pennant Mode" where players reach for the post-season and "Versus" which places gamers in the collective shoes of a professional baseball team that plays against another professional club. The "Success Mode" of the game allows players to choose a pro team and enjoy a season-long baseball scenario that's unique for each squad. A card system that similar to the PoTaCa system featured in the Playstation Portable version of the game is utilized where trading cards are used to imbue baseball players with improved skills and abilities. The PS3 version supports online play as well as the ability to watch games in progress being played by other online gamers.
