NCS Product Synopsis
«©NCSX» In another life, the detective named Saburo Jinguuji could have been a jarhead. An average grunt in raggedy combat fatigues who gets sent to hotspots to quell uprisings and other unsightly happenings. Destiny had other plans for Saburo however. Instead of military action in a faraway land, he enjoys a life that's filled with urban adventure and melodrama where he toils at the behest of clients who visit his little detective agency. With a cigarette clenched between his teeth and a cool haircut, Saburo is the spitting image of a hardboiled detective who's witnessed the depths of human depravity.
The latest Saburo adventure finds the detective entangled in five new cases which are all connected to each other in some way. The drama begins in the seedy side of Tokyo - Kabukicho - where the detective meets new characters including a mysterious woman who carries herself like a bar hostess. When Saburo's searching for clues, he engages suspects using the "Talk Profiling System" which allows him to measure a person's facial expressions and reactions when certain questions are presented. During each interaction, the screen is split in half with Saburo asking questions on the left while the suspect is on the right. Saburo can also search rooms and other locations for clues through a point and click sleuthing system. A city map keeps track of locales while an end-of-day diary records key events that have transpired over the course of a day. Players may refer to the diary for previously uncovered information and clues.
