«©NCSX» The baseball season on both sides of the Pacific is coming to a close with the Yankees leading the AL East stateside and the Giants dominating the Central League over in Japan. As the 2009 season chugs towards the finish line, Konami releases Powerful Pro Baseball Portable 4 for the PSP which features 2009 season data, a new simulation mode, and a high school baseball management mode where players take on the role of a team coach.
Konami has tweaked and refined the Powerful Pro game engine over the years so gamers will find a friendly yet exacting control scheme for pitching, batting, and fielding. When batting, the camera is situated behind the plate and a targeting reticule is used to position the bat. If a pitch sails in a little on the inside, the bat may be positioned accordingly to ensure a hit. When pitching, the camera focuses on the hitter so that pitches may be spotted around home plate
