Smart Pet is shaped like a dog with limbs which move the robot to and fro but the brains of the device lie in the Smart Pet application which runs on an iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 / 4S, or an iPod Touch (4th generation) running on iOS 4.3 or later. The slot on the front of the Smart Pet serves as an interface with the screen of the iPhone showing the pet's facial expressions and menu commands.
