«©NCSX» Year in and year out, Hello Kitty trinkets and merchandise are channeled through the Japanese distribution channel in a neverending flow. Last week, there was an offer for some new plushes and last night, it was sticker time. Not just any sticker however - stone deco seals. The "stone" refers to the pebbly texture on the front of the stickers which are somewhat reminiscent of a multi-faceted stone surface. A total of six sticker strips are featured in the set - each strip contains three decals which may be affixed to a phone, a belt, a face, or any other surface which is conducive to stickers. The stickers on each strip include a Hello Kitty head, a Hello Kitty full-body depiction, and a bow or heart.
   Preorders are welcome to ship in February 2011 at JPY1600 or US$22.90 from NCS.

Gran Turismo 5    According to a statement from Kazunori Yamauchi made yesterday from the SEMA Trade Show, GT5 discs are already being pressed. If that's the case, then the game should make it in time for the holiday season as mentioned in Sony's original delay announcement. Of course, Kaz could just be speaking exclusively about the Japanese version being pressed.

TOYS Koi Bitodzukan Toy Figures - Preorder

«©NCSX» A few years ago, NCS imported Monsterism toys (officially sanctioned by Pete Fowler) from Japan and sold them to collectors and fans. Since then, the vinyl toy market in North America has grown and all sorts of critters can be collected stateside. The Koi Bitodzukan toys from Kabaya are another brand of critter except no one in North America knows what they are. School time:

   The Bitodzukan are flora. Vegetation. The kind of stuff that's good for providing roughage to the diet. If vegetation ever got melded with some poor slob's human genes, you'd probably get the four critters seen here. From the upper left and rolling clockwise, they are:

Holiday Preview Part II    We're in the steady simmering period before the holidays. This is the time when order volume starts picking up from the summer doldrums and weird stuff starts selling. We sold two cutting boards over the past few days which haven't sold in 5 years. Over in Japan, new software releases slow to a trickle while North American releases ramp up with the flood of releases that'll reach market before Thanksgiving. In the next few weeks, USA releases will slow to a trickle and Japanese releases will ramp up.

«©NCSX» If you're the type of person who secrets valuables and baubles in small containers, the upcoming Monster Hunter Airu and Meraru storage pouches might come in handy.

   In our estimation, no self-respecting thief would look for a 4-carat diamond inside a toy that looks like Airu or Meraru. The thief is trained to think like a thief. He thinks that valuables should be hidden inside secure vaults or intricate devices that require at least three hours of hacking and bypassing.
