PSP Shin Koihime Musou: Otome Ryouran Sangokushi Engi LE

«©NCSX» Originally released for the Japanese PC in January 2007 where it went on to sell 50,000 copies, Koihime Musou is a re-interpretation of the Sangokushi (Romance of the Three Kingdoms) Warring States period in Chinese history. Instead of male generals waging war against each other, over 30 attractive maidens provide all of the conflict, arms, and even love. Koihime Musou is a tactical strategy game which features interactive sequences so the bonds between the player and the maidens grows ever stronger. Amidst the carnage of the Warring States, five principalities emerge with plans to unite the nation under a single crest.
   Characters in the game include Kanu Unchou, Chohi Ekitoku, Choun Shiryu, Kochu Kansho, and many more. At the outset of the game, a lad named Hongo Kazuto is teleported from the present day to olden China where war is afoot. Hongo is assaulted by a group of brigands but Kanu Unchou comes to the rescue and saves him from certain death.
   The new Shin Koihime Musou: Otome Ryouran * Sangokushi Engi for the Playstation Portable is not a sequel to Koihime Musou but rather an upgrade of the game which includes an updated scenario, new CG scenes, new endings, and a bevy of new characters who bolster the original cast.

The latest Fireball product is special (trust us) and limited to only 5,000 sets in Japan. The centerpiece of the Fireball Mobile Package is a microSD card labeled with the "Disney" logo and the word "FLŰGEL" which is part of the heroine Drossel's name, as in Drossel von Flűgel. PS3 Mobile Suit Gundam Senki Record U.C. 0081 - New Import

«©NCSX» Celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Gundam series with a new game that mixes HD animated sequences with 3D run 'n gun action. In the Story Mode, players step into the persona of Hugues Couraud who leads "Phantom Sweep," an Earth Federation strike force that hunts the remaining Zeon forces after the conclusion of the One Year War. On the side of the Zeon are the "Invisible Knights" who are led by Erik Blanque and provide adversarial foil to the forces of the Earth Federation.

   Gundam Senki U.C. 0081 features over 70 Gundam and Zaku mechs including the RX-78-7 which is the seventh model of the legendary Gundam mech. An online mode allows up to four players to cooperate on missions or engage in blistering firefights against each other. The first mission takes place on a dusky stage where Hugues and two team members tackle a group of enemy mechs. The darkly lit setting provides a nice backdrop to the bright explosions and the harried communications chatter between Hugues and friends give the impression of a serious military campaign in progress.

PS3 Rorona no Atelier: Arland no Renkinjutsush - New Import

«©NCSX» The Atelier franchise from Gust launched in 1997 with Atelier no Marie and the brand has endured for over a decade. There's been Ateliers named Lilie, Elie, Judie, and more. The latest girl to join the cast is a lassie named Rorona whose look is somewhat reminiscent of Kurarara Hananokouji (aka Clara) from the Power Instinct series. In the game, Rorona plies her alchemy skills to synthesize new and possibly wondrous items. Before she can do that however, she'll have to interact with citizens, town folk, and other contacts to learn about the world and explore the local environs to find ingredients and reagents.
 

   Atelier no Rorona features cel-shaded visual styling for a crisp and color-saturated look that's pleasing to the eye. On the audio side, the soundtrack from Ken Nakagawa sounds great and we're looking forward to the original soundtrack for Rorona. Gust hired actors and actresses to provide the voices for the cast of characters.

X360 Mushihimesama Futari Ver 1.5 (Platinum) - Preorder

«©NCSX» One of NCS' best selling games from 2009 is getting the "Platinum Collection" treatment in November. Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 was originally released last year in Japan on November 25 and it sold like gangbusters. The region-free status of the game disc probably had a lot to do with the impressive strength in sales.

   Please note that it's unclear if the "Platinum Collection" re-issue of the game will stay region-free. Cave has stated that there wouldn't be any more region-free Xbox 360 shooters from them but they didn't elaborate if the policy would affect re-releases of games that were originally shipped to market in a region-free format. We'll perform a test when Mushihimesa Platinum arrives to confirm or deny the freeness of the game.

   Preorders are welcome to ship on November 11, 2010. Please note that there is no mention of the special DLC content in the preorder solicitation so it's probably not included in-game.

Wii Party Game Box 100 - Import Preorder

«©NCSX» Bomberman was once the party game where up to four players rambled within a maze and ignited explosives in an attempt to blast someone. That was then. Party Game Box 100 from Hudson (the creator of Bomberman) is now. The upcoming mini-game compilation features 100 party games where up to four players participate and compete against each other by waving the Remote or wagging the D-pad on the Remote. Some of the challenges include:

» Jingle the Bells - Wag the Remote in time to the onscreen musical notes as they cross the rubicon - sort of similar to Taiko no Tatsujin. Sort of.
» Quick Click - Match the onscreen cue that appears on the television at the bottom of the screen with the same cue that appears on a flipping board.
» Follow the Leader - Mimic the moves of a monkey who stands upon a pedestal. He'll do some moves and players have to ape the actions.
» Math - Solve simple mathematical equations that appear on screen by clicking on multiple choice answers that appear below the equation.

«©NCSX» Our introduction to the term "Steampunk" came in a game titled Sakura Taisen back when the Sega Saturn was a market contender. "Steampunk" refers to a fictional reality where the use of steam as a source of energy is dominant. The mechs in Sakura Taisen were powered by steam and the world in Arms' Heart operates on steam. The publisher Hamster describes the game as a "Steampunk RPG" in their promotional material and Matsuzo Machida of Shadow Hearts fame is the director and scripter.
