A number of cursed blades exist throughout the world. Blades that thirst for blood the moment they're drawn. Even those blades thought to be holy slowly become corrupted over time as they are used in hatred and drenched in blood. Those who wield these blades slowly become homicidal. The curses laid on these blades are said to condemn those who use them to tragic and untimely deaths. It is in the Genroki era, a period of time in which the shogun Tsumayoshi Tokogawa reigned, that the force of the damned began to emerge, threatening the peace and prosperity that had long existed in the world. The cursed blades became the focus of the greed, self-righteousness, and arrogance of those who'd gain possession of them, and inevitably it was these conflicting desires that led to war. As the flames of chaos and disaster spread, denizens from the netherworld were dragged into the confusion as not only the evil spirits were summoned by the swords, but the Dragon and Demon Gods as well. How will the destinies of those drawn to these cursed blades unfold?

Set during the feudal Genroku era, Muramasa features two distinct heroes Kisuke, a brave young lad whos lost his memory, and Momohime, a lithe female ronin possessed by a dark spirit.

PS3 Playstation 3 Slim Console - New Import, In Stock

«©NCSX» Sony recently dropped the price of the Playstation 3 hardware by US$100 and gave potential buyers a compelling reason to shuffle off the fence and finally open up their wallets for a PS3. It's not just a PS3 though. It's also a Blu-Ray player as well as a DVD player so buyers can kill three birds with one stone... and get rid of the clunky off-brand DVD player that was purchased a few years ago at Wally Mart.
Along with the price drop, Sony also introduces a new and slimmer version of the PS3 console hardware which is flatter and tablet-esque in shape. The flat surface is conducive to nifty artwork and/or designs whenever Sony decides to release a limited edition variant. We think Final Fantasy XIV will probably get a snazzy PS3 console with pretty etchings on top. All preorders for the Japanese PS3 Slim have shipped as of yesterday and new orders are welcome to ship this afternooon.

NEWS General Updates

TOYS Mushihime-same Futari Reko Figure Restock The remainder of our "Futari" Reko figures from Max Factory arrived yesterday and all backorders have shipped on Thursday. New orders are welcome to ship today.

PSP Dissidia Final Fantasy Limited Edition Released The European Limited Edition of Dissidia was released to distributors earlier today and NCS expects our shipment to arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. All preorders will ship on the day the game arrives and new orders are welcome. The limited edition includes a Mini-CD soundtrack, a 48-page art book, a 32-page mini-guide, and two lithograph prints featuring Dissidia artwork which are all packaged in a special container that also holds the game.

NEWS Labor Day Holiday - September 7, 2009 NCS will be on hiatus next Monday for the Labor Day holiday. We'll return to normal operation on September 8, 2009. According to social lore, humans aren't supposed to wear white after Labor Day. It's unclear what the penalty is if someone wears white but it might be something serious.

NDS Love Plus - New Japanese Import, Restock Soon

«©NCSX» Konami got involved with the love interaction genre 15 years ago with Tokimeki Memorial: Forever With You and went on to create sequels, side stories, and animated serials based on the Tokimeki brand. There's obviously a demand for love games and Konami capitalizes on the theme once again with Love Plus. Players take on the role of a high school transfer student who finds love with one of three classmates at his new school. The game starts off after the pair have made a love confession already and the couple are in the process of dating, enjoying each other's company, and communicating. With the NDS in hand, players may meet his "girlfriend" at school or send messages by email. The time in the game world flows steadily onwards regardless of whether you're playing or not where day turns to night and the seasons change based on the date.

PS3 M.S. Gundam Senki U.C. 0081 - New Import, In Stock

«©NCSX» Celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Gundam series with a new game that mixes HD animated sequences with 3D run 'n gun action. In the Story Mode, players step into the persona of Hugues Couraud who leads "Phantom Sweep," an Earth Federation strike force that hunts the remaining Zeon forces after the conclusion of the One Year War. On the side of the Zeon are the "Invisible Knights" who are led by Erik Blanque and provide adversarial foil to the forces of the Earth Federation.

Gundam Senki U.C. 0081 features over 70 Gundam and Zaku mechs including the RX-78-7 which is the seventh model of the legendary Gundam mech. An online mode allows up to four players to cooperate on missions or engage in blistering firefights against each other. The first mission takes place on a dusky stage where Hugues and two team members tackle a group of enemy mechs. The darkly lit setting provides a nice backdrop to the bright explosions and the harried communications chatter between Hugues and friends give the impression of a serious military campaign in progress.

«©NCSX» Namco's Pac-Man was a video game phenomenon that inspired sequels, clones, and even a song back in the day when 8-bit was bleeding edge. Nearly 30 years later, Namco's still around albeit as a part of the Bandai empire and Pac-Man still scores high on the awareness meter.

TabeMon is sort of like a spiritual successor to Pac-Man. The main character in the game looks like a mutated version of Pac-Man and it eats. A lot. He's named Pepper and has a partner in crime named Sugar who looks like something from the Pokemon Universe. Instead of being isolated within a maze and chased by a quartet of spooks in Pac-Man, TabeMon features free-roaming gameplay where the hero runs around chomping down mobile as well as immobile objects and creatures on screen. Players may alternate between Pepper and Sugar during the course of game play to mix up the visuals. At the outset of the game, Pepper is a low-level beast that can't devour higher-level alien fruit-creatures known as Tabemon. However, by eating and growing in stature, Pepper gains levels and gets to chomp on his betters. Pepper also has a dash move where he charges into Tabemon to bust them up into smaller versions so he can eat them up. In addition to Tabemon minions, massive bosses also provide adversity in the game.
