    Originally released by Yamato in 2010, toy manufacturer Flare reissues Odin Sphere Velvet once again in Spring 2019. 

    Velvet's story begins in the second chapter of the OdinSphere game but her full drama is explored in the fifth chapter where Velvet's background and continuing tale is fleshed out. She's a princess without a home whose kingdom was razed by a weapon known as the Crystallization Cauldron which was created by her father, King Valentine. In the game, she works to prevent the coming of Armageddon by disabling the Cauldron.

    The 1/8 scale rendition of Velvet measures 25cm or 9.84" tall. Velvet wears her crimson outfit which may be compared to a gypsy's costume. A jester's cap is mounted atop her head while a tiny top covers her shoulders and bosom. A sash of black material rings her waist and a red slip of material serves as a dress to cover Velvet's backside. Note the dress only encircles her rear and black hosiery finishes up Velvet's choice of garb. She's on her tiptoes which may indicate readiness and anticipation while her hands hold a Psypher Chain.

«©NCSX» Yamato releases the sixteenth Creators Labo toy and she's someone we're very familiar with. Her name is Ignis and she's a woman warrior who hails from the Jingai Makyo eroge. Ignis is a ginger with moxie, fighting skills, and choice pieces of fighting garb.

   In her Creators Labo turn, Ignis seems to thrusting forward as if being propelled by a jet of water. How else to explain her arched back and the forward positioning of her hips as well as the wayward position of her body? Then again, maybe that's just how she rolls. Ignis carries a sword in her right hand while a firearm is gripped menacingly in her left hand. In addition to the Ignis figure itself, the toy includes a jagged, bony, pedestal upon which Ignis seems to leap. A tentacle extends from the pedestal and disappears behind Ignis' "skirt."

«©NCSX» When NCS first played the original Oneechanbara game (Simple 2000 Series Vol. 61) in 2004, we were astounded. Other than Lara Croft, women warriors were rare in the testosterone-fueled arenas of action games. But there she was, decked out in an outfit that barely covered her attributes. In addition to being nearly naked, Aya swung a sword into zombie flesh with the abandon of a banshee. Every stroke lopped off limbs and sent splashes of blood into the air. The zombies were simply no match for a wild woman with bad taste in clothes. Indulge us because it bears repeating - we were astounded.
 

   Japanese manufacturer Yamato releases a 29cm tall fixed-pose Oneechanbara Aya figure which is mounted on a circular disc. The feather boa that normally slings around Aya's shoulders is gone but we'd recognize that cowboy hat and tacky ensemble anywhere.
