PS2 Ryu Ga Gotoku (Playstation the Best) - Sale US$49.90 Free Shipping in USA

NCS Product Synopsis
Update: October 27, 2006

«©NCSX» The seedy underbelly of the Kamurocho district fosters all breeds. The ones that stand out in Ryu Ga Gotoku however are the bad seeds; the Yakuza inspired gangsters and killers who use force and devious design to unhinge their fellow man. The protagonist in the adventure is a bruiser named Kazuma who went to prison and summarily broke out. As the game starts, Kazuma is standing in the middle of a neon lit street while throngs of night life seekers stroll and mill about. Accidentally bump into someone and witness his or her stumbling motion and arm waving antics.

Move Kazuma forward a bit and follow the fellow thug who wears a purple and gold shirt to a building. After entering the building, a cinema shows an encounter where a meek subject suddenly turns into a tiger wielding a golf club. This leads to the first battle of the game which is basically a training mission which teaches the various moves and combos that are available. Guide Kazuma and punch and power-punch the thugs in the room and their golf club swinging boss. The fighting is a full-fledged 3D action game where the controls are smooth and the punches rattle off in fluid motion. To grab someone in a choke hold, press the "O" button. To follow up with a head butt while choking someone, hit the SQUARE button. Thugs who are being choked may also be smashed into walls by pressing the TRIANGLE button when prompted. In addition to punches and smacks, Kazuma may pick up the golf club and other items in the room to whack foes with them. For example, pick up a waste basket and hurl it at a thug's head... We would have preferred more of a fight in the training mission since the thugs don't put up any resistance at all. They just sort of circle Kazuma and try to look menacing.

Kamurocho
Eagle-eyed "night-life" lovers may notice the similarities between the virtual streets of Kamurocho and the adult entertainment district of Kabukicho just north of Shinjuku Station. Visitors to Kabukicho may enjoy venues such as peep shows, massage parlors, strip clubs, private nudie sessions, porn theaters, and even illicit companionship for the pittance of a few thousand yen. Think of it as an adult amusement park that's currently ruled by the Chinese triads.

Region Lock-out

Please note Japanese Playstation 2 games will not boot on USA or European PS2 consoles due to the inherent region-lockout on Playstation 2 game discs.

PS3 Ryu ga Gotoku of The End  - New Import, In Stock

NCS Product Synopsis
«©NCSX» It's a normal night on the streets of Kamurocho and neon storefronts are ablaze. A never ending gaggle of pedestrians meander and go about their evening rounds. In the middle of it all, a portly salaryman stumbles in front of Shun Akiyama - a stately Yakuza who looks natty in his purple-hued jacket. The salaryman appears ill and upchucks audibly. Shun makes light of the situation and goes about his business. As he walks, Akiyama is greeted by a portly woman who chastises him and the two proceed to walk towards the hotel district so Akiyama can collect some protection money. After a short while, they chance upon a small group of spectators who are gawking at the windows of a building. There's flashing within caused by gunfire and something seriously awry is afoot.

Before Akiyama can join the battle inside the building, the body of an older gentleman crashes through the window and lands on the sidewalk. A crowd gathers around the body and Akiyama skulks in to take a gander but the fallen man starts to stir. Not only stir but rise up and stand there looking very much like a member of the undead. When the local constabulary arrives and a member of law enforcement places a hand on the living dead, he gets chomped something fierce and the crowd disperses. The zombie bites another cop and Akiyama runs when more zombies start raining down onto the street. An outbreak of the undead is in full swing and the Yakuza corps must rally to beat them back.

Thus begins Ryu Ga Gotoku Of the End which is the latest release in the long-running Ryu Ga Gotoku or Yakuza franchise. In addition to the melee combat against zombies, Akiyama and friends (Kazama Kiryu, Goro Majima, and Ryuji Godai) also get to engage in the lighter side of life with activities such as bowling, ping pong, slots, and interaction with club hostesses. Since they're faced with an unyielding new enemy, Akiyama and company resort to more powerful weapons borrowed from the army including tanks and cannons for making mincemeat out of the undead.

All preorders and new orders submitted this afternoon for RGG OtE are shipping today.

Ryu Ga Gotoku 3 - New Import, In Stock

«©NCSX» The Japanese version of Ryu Ga Gotoku 3 is in stock and preorders are shipping today. New orders are welcome.

In Ryu Ga Gotoku Kenzan! which was released last year, Sega sent gamers back to feudal times in Japan. An incarnation of the series' hero Kiryuu Kazuma worked as a hired gun who took assignments from any client willing to pay.

The adventures of the hard charging
Kiryu Kazuma resume once again in modern times in Ryu Ga Gotoku 3 for the PS3. Kiryu is once again steeped in the life of a Yakuza who operates in the seedy district of Kamurocho. Kiryu has certain goals and objectives to accomplish over the course of the adventure but between the beginning and the conclusion, there's a lot of distractions in the game... just like real life. Kiryu can engage in karaoke sessions, play golf, go fishing, play pool, and even enjoy some quality time with a companion at a Love Hotel.

Ryu Ga Gotoku 3 Original Soundtrack - Import Preorder

«©NCSX» When the latest Ryu Ga Gotoku game ships in Japan next month, Sega and Wavemaster will also release a soundtrack to accompany the software. Although the publisher hasn't updated the track listing as of last night, Japanese distributors started accepting preorders a few days ago. In the game, players reprise the role of a Yakuza henchman with a heart of gold who uses brute force and fighting skills to do his job. The music in previous RGG releases have generally been energetic so we're expecting more of the same uptempo beats that have permeated the last two games.

In Ryu Ga Gotoku 3, Kiryu gets to do some karaoke so there's tracks in the upcoming soundtrack where the voice actor (Takaya Kuroda) who plays him belts out a few tunes. The young girl named Haruka (CV: Rie Kugimiya) who Kiryu adopted also sings karaoke in the game so she'll also do a little crooning on the CD. Preorders are welcome to ship on Feb 26 2009.

Ryu Ga Gotoku Kenzan! - New Import, Ships Today

«©NCSX» Take away the natty Yakuza suits, extinguish the neon lights of Kamurocho, and dock a few centuries to arrive in 17th century Kyoto where another installment of Ryu Ga Gotoku opens up. Kiryuu Kazuma reprises his role by retro-rocketing back to Edo era Japan where he works as a hired gun who tackles assignments for any client willing to pay. Kiryuu is hiding a secret identity however. He's really the legendary Miyamoto Musashi who's now living under an assumed name. One day, an orphaned girl visits Kiryuu and hires him to avenge the death of her parents with one simple request, "Please kill Miyamoto Musashi."

Sega fleshes out the world of old Kyoto with locales and structures to exacting detail for an engaging gaming experience. Players may visit soba shops in Gion District, trek to Kiyomizu Temple in eastern Kyoto, or visit the magnificent expanse that is Nijô Castle. Similar to previous games in the series, Kiryuu gets to do a lot of fighting in 3D bouts tinged with heat.

Yajuu Keiji: Tokyo Douji Tahatsu Tero o Chinatsu Seyo!

Hearken back to the era of the 80s when Yakuza dressed like Crockett & Tubbs and heroes roamed the streets to beat them down. In Success' side scrolling beat 'em up, players take on the role of an avenger who uses punches, kicks, and special attacks to quell the gangland threat.

Three heroes are featured in the game - a hipster policeman in a white suit, a stodgy middle-age detective who wears a trench coat, and a spry female cop who wears short shorts and packs firearms. Assorted guns may be picked up on the street to provide hard hitting power against groups of enemy troops and to take them down quickly. Bonuses scattered along the levels include big bulging hamburgers and triangle-cut sandwiches which allow the heroes to recover life energy.
