Metal Gear Solid 4 Ration Sound Toys - New, In Stock

«©NCSX» Solid Snake is the strong and silent type. He's not one for lengthy conversion but when he does talk, people tend to listen. Fans of the Snakester can listen to him talk all day with the Metal Gear Solid 4 Ration Sound Keychains which feature choice phrases that have been clipped from the game and stored on a computer chip. To listen to a short snippet of dialogue or sound, simply push the button on the front of a keychain and a somewhat tinny and hollow-sounding voice or sound effect will blare forth. Use it to wake the neighbors, scare the cat, or terrorize the kids.

A total of six keychains were released by Konami Digital Entertainment which are sold in Japan through gashapon dispensers in random fashion. To make things easier for collectors however, NCS gathers together all six keychains and sells them as a complete set at the price of US$29.90. That way, you won't be stuck with unwanted duplicates which will only take up space in your sock drawer. All preorders have shipped as of last Friday and new orders are welcome today. «NCS Photo Gallery»

GA-KO Alarm Clock - New Import, Restock Soon

All preorders for the limited edition GA-KO Alarm Clock have shipped as of yesterday afternoon. We try to avoid posting up lengthy daily updates which is why we're posting the GA-KO photo gallery today. The "duck clock" runs on three AA batteries and the alarm function is somewhat trippy. Ducky's head swivels from side to side for an interesting visual when the alarm sounds off.

Please note that we're sold out of the GA-KO Alarm Clock but we're expecting a second batch by next Wednesday or Thursday of next week to fill new orders that have been submitted in the past couple of days. Pricing remains at US$36.50.

General Updates

Metal Gear Solid 4 Special Edition - Second Printing
Konami has already announced a second printing of the Japanese MGS4 Special Edition which will feature a cardboard case to hold the bonus DVD.
The first printing includes a metal case as shown in last week's photo gallery. This bit of news caused some gougers vendors in Japan and Hong Kong to raise their prices by a few dollars on their product offer sheets last night. NCS is currently supplying only the first printing of the game which is in stock and available to ship today.
Arkanoid DS Paddle Controllers
With the USA versions of Space Invaders Extreme and Arkanoid DS shipping this week, requests for the official Taito paddle controllers are coming in again. One of our suppliers in Japan may be able to help us with some restock (the black, white, and silver color variants) and we'll post another update when the different colors are available again in these next few days. Pricing is expected to remain the same.

Real Action Heroes 359: Old Snake - New Import, In Stock

When we first met Solid Snake nearly 20 years ago, he was a punk kid with some skills but nowhere near the legend he is today. Through the decades, we watched him grow in stature and renown as his escapades were painstakingly chronicled across multiple gaming platforms. If asked to describe noticeable features about Snake, we might conjure up his camouflage suit, the billowing headband, an endless supply of cigarettes, and the stubble. The words "dashing," "unerring," and "loner" might also be thrown into the discussion but we never thought we'd ever used the words, "old guy."

As the upcoming release of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots begins, Snake is an old man. White-haired, wrinkled, and somewhat wobbly, Snake is a shadow of his former self but he's still got skills. Years of training and his innate survival instincts just don't disappear overnight. The years of smoking cigarettes has taken a toll on his lungs however and Snake coughs up a storm. Per usual Medicom convention, the company releases a Real Action Heroes figure for Grandpa Snake which measures 30cm or 11.81" tall. The figure is highly posable for kinetic action postures that only a seasoned warrior can achieve. «Photo Gallery»
