    Squat-shaped tough guy Kunio-kun and his similarly coiffed cohorts are back in remake of the Famicom game 'Downtown Nekketsu Koushinkyoku Soreyuke Daiundoukai' which was released in Japan back in 1990. Over thirty years later, the game gets a Playstation 3 facelift with 8-bit style character graphics which perform feats of strength and agility on decidedly more luxurious backdrops than what the original Famicom version could muster. In addition to single player mode, the game supports online multi-player action for competitors to bout it out.

«©NCSX» Kunio and Riki have been rivals and then friends since the early days of the gaming trade. They've appeared in numerous games and their latest collaboration put them on the road to the World Cup. Playing for the Japanese national team, Kunio and cohorts tackle opposing squads on the soccer field and dribble, kick, and race like the wind to show their fiery spirit. Along with conventional moves and plays, soccer stars can also perform special "Hissatsu" shots which translates to "Certain Kill Shot" for magnificent scoring moments.

The game features a roster of over 90 soccer players culled from the Kunio-Kun franchise who are arranged into teams. The wireless communication mode allows up to four players to link up and enjoy a League Mode. Preorders are welcome to ship on May 27, 2010.
