X360 Ketsui Kizuna Jigoku Tachi Extra Regular Edition - Early

NCS Product Update
«©NCSX» A supplier in Tokyo received a batch of X360 Ketsui Kizuna Jigoku Tachi Extra last Friday and shipped an allocation of the game to us. We've received the shipment today and we'll be able to clear roughly 3/4 of our reservations for the limited edition of the game and roughly 1/8 of our reservations of the regular edition. They received a lot more of the LE than the RE last week. The remainder of our shipments are scheduled to arrive on Tuesday of this week since most of our Japanese vendors did not receive their copies of Ketsui until last night.

The first printing of the regular edition of Ketsui includes a bonus "Ketsui Capture Guidebook" which is packaged in 1:1 ratio. The limited edition of Ketsui is bundled with a Ketsui Kizuna Original Soundtrack CD and a bonus "Ketsui Capture Guidebook" in 1:1 ratio. The contents of the limited edition are packed in a slipcase.

Ketsui is a vertical shooter where players commandeer a ship that faces off against waves upon waves of ground and air resistance. The game starts off with the player's ship being towed into battle by a larger plane. Once the tether is broken, the ship hurtles ahead and into the thick of an incoming enemy assault.

X360 Ketsui: Kizuna Jigoku Tachi Extra LE - Import Preorder

NCS Preorder Synopsis
«©NCSX» The Japanese Xbox 360 continues to solidify its position as the de facto console of choice for shoot 'em up fans and shmup adherents with yet another upcoming release. This time, it's Ketsui Kizuna Jigoku Tachi Extra from 5pb which is scheduled to ship on April 22, 2010 which is delayed from the original release date of May 28, 2009. That's right, the game's been delayed for nearly a year without much of a peep or word from the publisher but it's back on track for Spring 2010.

Ketsui is a horizontal shooter where players commandeer a ship that faces off against waves upon waves of ground and air resistance. The game starts off with the player's ship being towed into battle by a larger plane. Once the tether is broken, the ship hurtles ahead and into the thick of an incoming enemy assault. Tanks attack from the ground and jets swoop in from all sides as the player's ship flies deeper into enemy territory. The shots get pretty thick but are manageable if you're able to map them on the fly and twitch through them accordingly. The first mid-level boss is a chubby helicopter which sprays out a latticework of shots that move vertically and horizontally for added challenge. For added offensive power, the player's ship is accompanied by sidearms that bolster the amount of vulcan spray that flies into the enemy's collective faces.

The First Print Limited Edition of Ketsui Kizuna is bundled with a Ketsui Kizuna Original Soundtrack CD and a bonus "Ketsui Capture Guidebook" in 1:1 ratio. Preorders are welcome to ship on April 22, 2010 at JPY9300 or US$109.90 from NCS.

Ketsui Death Label + Bonus DVD - New Import, In Stock

«©NCSX» NCS didn't expect Cave's Ketsui - Kizuna Jigoku Tachi game to be revived after six years had passed since its debut in Japanese arcades. It's here today however and the game plays fast, fluid, and poses an enjoyable shmup experience on the Nintendo DS.

When we first heard of the port earlier this summer, we didn't think the NDS hardware was beefy enough to render a shooter where streaming wave after wave of bullets wash across the screen. We were skeptical but Arika has released a game that runs without any noticeable lag or slowdown. Although the coin-op original was a vertical aspect shooter, the NDS version doesn't look bad at all with its horizontal aspect screen. The most important facet for us however is the speed
of the game and we're pleased in that respect.

Ketsui Death Label - Japanese Import Preorder

NCS didn't expect Cave's Ketsui - Kizuna Jigoku Tachi game to be revived after six years had passed since its debut in Japanese arcades. It's on the way however with Japanese distributors starting official preorders for the Nintendo DS retail version on Tuesday.

Demos of the game released by publisher Arika have shown that the NDS hardware is fully capable of rendering the streaming waves of bullets that fill the game's stages without any noticeable lag or slowdown. Although the coin-op original was a vertical aspect shooter, the NDS version doesn't look bad at all with its horizontal aspect screen. The most important facet for us however is the speed of the game and we're pleased in that respect but we'll give the game a thorough examination once it's in stock.

Ketsui Death Label will include a single-player mode, a multi-player mode, and a training mode which will help beginners learn how to twitch.

The Nintendo DS version of Ketsui will be bundled with a bonus Master Play DVD which shows an expert blowing through the game without losing a single ship. Preorders are welcome to ship on October 23, 2008 at JPY5524 or US$53.90 from NCS.
