NDS Dragon Ball DS 2: Totsugeki! Red Ribbon Gun - New Import

NCS Product Synopsis
«©NCSX» In the first Dragon Ball DS game, Goku teamed up with a green-haired lassie named Bulma to find the rest of the Dragon Balls that they didn't already have. Their adventure took them all the way up to the World Martial Arts Tournament where Earth's mightiest fighters competed for a grand prize of 500,000 zeni. After the events of Dragon Ball DS, lil' Goku is still in the hunt for the Dragon Balls and his travels take him directly into the warpath of a military group known as the Red Ribbon Army. Led by a diminutive warrior named Commander Red who suffers from little-man-complex, the Army is also looking for the Dragon Balls but Commander Red has ulterior motives for their use... which ultimately leads to his doom.
As a bonus, Bandai includes the original Famicom Dragon Ball: Shenron no Nazo game which features real old school graphics and sound.

Taiseiou (大聖王) - Import Preorder

©NCSX» Xbox 360 is currently the console of choice for Japanese shooters but the Wii gets a few releases from time to time too. The latest shooter from Starfish is embarrassing underwhelming based on what we've seen thus far but at least the game mixes up the action with horizontal stages as well as 3D "Space Harrier-esque" stages. A 2-player option allows for cooperative shooting forays. We'll hold off on condemning the game until we actually go hands-on with it but we're not too hopeful on the final product. With that said and out of the way, preorders are welcome to ship on August 27, 2009 at JPY4700 or US$53.90 from NCS.

Dragon Ball Tenkaichi Daibouken - Japanese Import Preorder

©NCSX» A pint-sized rendition of Son Goku stars as the protagonist in Bandai's Dragon Ball Tenkaichi Daibouken which plies the side scrolling, cel-shaded, platform action game. Those types of games are kinda rare these days but we tend to gravitate towards them whenever they make their way to market. Although the upcoming Dragon Ball game scrolls from left to right, it also brims with 3D event scenes, special effects, and vibrant theatrics that may or may not add to the enjoyment of the platform gaming.
Preorders for the Japanese Wii import DBTD are welcome to ship on July 23, 2009 at JPY6800 or US$69.90 from NCS.

Dragon Ball Kai Saiyajin Laisyuu - New Import, Rstk Soon

«©NCSX» Goku, Piccolo, and other DBZ superheroes participate in an action-adventure game that follows the arc from the beginning of the DBZ anime. As the story goes, Goku has wed a lassie named Chi-Chi and they have a son named Gohan. One day, a badass known as Raditz kidnaps Gohan which forces Goku to team up with Piccolo to trek through assorted challenges to rescue his baby boy.

The game looks good with sharp hand-drawn graphics and battles are fought in classic RPG style where Goku and friends are assembled on the right side of the screen. Enemies are arrayed on the left side of the screen and the two contingents bout it out in a turn-based fisticuffs and power-blast theatrics. When traveling, the camera takes in the action from overhead where Goku is shown as a diminutive hero walking the Earth.
