Despite the protagonist's lack of memories, he/she nevertheless leads the party on a new action-packed adventure that takes the group around the world. The game features a 3D battle system where heroes attack with conventional weapons as well as their respective Shadows. An item synthesis system is also available where new weapons and armor may be crafted and upgraded for use on the battlefield. Early reservations will include a bonus Blue Dragon fan booklet in 50% ratio that's being given away by Namco Bandai.

Blue Dragon Plus - New Import, Restock Tomorrow

The story of Blue Dragon continues this summer with a new adventure game that follows the escapades of Shu, Jiro, Zola, and the rest of the gang. Similar to the first Blue Dragon game on the Xbox, each character has a special Shadow which is modeled after a creature which attacks with powerful might. For example, Shu's Shadow is a blue dragon while Jiro is backed by a Shadow Minotaur which wears bracers. Zola's Shadow is a really big bat with impressive pectorals.

The battle system in Blue Dragon Plus is based on a real time tactical scheme where party members and enemies fight it out on isometric stages. When a Shadow attacks, it'll wallop foes in fluid animated motion. The life bars of troops are positioned directly over each grunt so that its level of health is easily discerned as a campaign progresses.

Blue Dragon Limited Edition Items - [Sale]

When the Blue Dragon game was released in Japan, an Xbox 360 bundle was also unleashed which contained a bonus faceplate and five miniature figures of the main characters in the game. In this case, we've sold the Xbox 360 console and the Blue Dragon game but the bonus items remain. None of the items have been opened or inspected so they're new. We have however taken photos of each individual box. The faceplate is colored black and features an image of a blue dragon that appears to be grinning with gnarly teeth.

Blue Dragon Trading Figures

In the new Blue Dragon game for the Xbox 360, a spiky-haired lad named Shu faces off against the forces of evil with an unlikely ally. By himself, Shu is unimposing but when it's time to battle, his shadow incarnates as a winged blue dragon which towers above the decidedly scrawny Shu. Since the game has been garnering buzz and better than average sales in Japan, Bandai ties themselves to the project by releasing a set of Blue Dragon trading figures.

Akira Toriyama designed the characters for Blue Dragon and his distinctive style shows in the figures which include main character Shu, a gal named Kluke, Jiro, the mascot-like Marumaro, and the pirate gal Zola. The figures measure approximately 3" tall and are sculpted from PVC. Each toy also includes a piece of candy and a bit of biographical information on the character. Each factory box includes 10 randomly packaged figures and preorders ship today. New orders are welcome today at US$39 per case.

X360 Blue Dragon Bundle [Limited Edition] restocked

An alternate Japanese supplier was able to help us restock a small quantity of the limited edition Blue Dragon bundle today. The LE bundle includes the bonus faceplate and five figures in addition to the Xbox 360 Core Unit and a copy of Blue Dragon. Pricing is set at US$375 and any backorders submitted recently will ship today. New orders are welcome.

Preorder Bonus Change?
When preorders were originally solicited, there was mention of five Blue Dragon figures that were to be included with the B.D. Bundle but this appears to have changed. As mentioned earlier, the preorder bonus is actually a 2007 desktop calendar which contains six sheets of Toriyama artwork to view throughout the year. Due to the change, NCS will re-confirm customer preorders via email request today.
