In his final boxing match, Joe Yabuki faces Jose Mendoza for a shot at the World Champion belt. During the bout, Joe holds his own against the champ for the full 15 rounds and both fighters deliver shattering blows against each other. At the end of the match, Joe rests his weary and battered body on a stool while waiting for the announcement of the winner. The champ retains his title and Joe passes away in his corner with a smile.
Orca Toys recreates the final scene of the Ashita no Joe manga/anime franchise with a polystone figure sculpted by Ken Matsuura. Preorders are welcome to ship in late July 2016.
